I just found that wells can serve more than just the usual stuff.

I've seen a couple of my residents catch on fire and running around the city looking for a well to dowse themselves with.

And after a long long run to a well across the city, he finally made it and extinguished himself then he extinguished as well.

One less Plebe in my city :o

LoL, sounds like you were lucky they didn't set anything else on fire...;)

I missed the opportunity to catch a picture (twice no less) because I was trying to click on the inferno guy as he was running around trying to find a well to see what he had to say while he was running around.

Next time it happens though, I'll grab a snapshot.

The first time it happened I thought it was some kind of easter egg, because the building he was working in wasn't on fire, but in both times the workers either worked in a pottery plant or something to do with the Iron industry and I think both have workers working with fire so......

Thanks,

I never saw this happen in the demo but because the demo couldnt save I never really played it all that much, maybe a half dozen times after I got it sorted out what settings to use to make it run acceptably on my computer or maybe it did happen but I was busy somewhere else in my city and didnt see it.

For my playstyle the wells are better in areas that dont require fountains because on the smaller maps it's near impossible for me to be able to fit the resevoir and aquaduct amongst the industrial area as well as all the industrial buildings on the map so putting the wells in the industrial areas seems to better fit my play style or lack there of. ;)

It seems like marble camps can make people catch fire, too... I haven't seen any fires from farming yet!

The buring person was also in the demo.

It happens with all buildings that catch fire.

It happens when the damge of the building reaches a certain level before you actually see flames and your prefects have yet to put out the young fire that has started.

Using the person click on, you can see from where he came and look at the fire overlay. Fire is pretty mellow in this game.

Extra wells does not influence the rate of fire occurance.

Too bad the running flaming person could not set other buildings on fire too for a challenge.

Gotta love how the guy in front of the flamer isn't even turned around or trying to help the guy. TM really made this true to life :D I can't even count how many times in real life that I've seen people go out of their way to avoid helping someone else.
