Aquaducts-Question

Hi everyone..I'm hoping someone can help me. I have no problem building the aquaducts, making all connections, but I've had a bit of trouble with getting my aquaducts to fill with water sometimes. Even changing the locations sometimes doesn't necessarily mean its going to get water. When I look on the Overlay screen is shows where my water will flow, yet the Reservoir and fountains will not fill. I'd really appreciate help..thanks

The connections are a little tricky.

I usually get close and straight overhead to get them hooked up. Very often the last tiny tile is not filled in.

I have had properly connected resevoirs not fill, and fountains not work because my Equite population was low. No labor no service :)
