Increase favor

THis is really killing me. I started out spending too much money and not stockpiling enough goods to fulfill Rome's requests and ended up having to use my gifts to retain enough favor not to get booted out of office. Now, I have enough of everything and send requests immediately and have plenty of money, etc.

My problem is that my favor is steadily falling and fulfilling request immediately doesn't seem to be doing anything for my favor rating. How can I up my favor to get out of this scenario? Please, please don't tell me I have to start over. I am sick of this one. Can't remember the name, but it's the city that starts out all abandoned buildings.:mad:

First of all, if you're going to ask someone to take the time and effort to help you, please be courteous enough to include the name of the city you need help with as well as any other information that you think might be useful. Having said that, let's deal with your problem.

There are two ways to increase favor: Meet REQUESTS or send gifts to Caesar. I belive you're in Carthago, and furthermore, I believe you just might be out of luck. In Carthago, Caesar doesn't make any requests. He only demands things. When you meet a demand all you're doing is preventing the loss of favor that will occur if you don't meet it. So, in this scenario, you can't gain favor by meeting requests because there aren't any.

The only other alternative is to send gifts. You can send a total of 3 large, 3 medium, and 3 small. If you haven't sent too many gifts already, this might be your way out. Otherwise you've had it because every year you will lose another favor point no matter what you do.

Start getting some weapons and armor.

Get 8 full forts of heavy infantry and 20 towers positioned in a dispersed formation around the city-Rome road.

Then fight...
