Hey, im having all the regular random black screen errors and after browsing your forum some people have sugested rolling back my catalyst drivers.

I usually prefer to uninstall my driver then the software Catalyst Control Panel then install the other driver.

But to roll back a driver, you just goto the system Properties Menu. Right click on My Computer and then Properties. From there click on the Hardware tab. Then the Device Manager button.

Under the Device Manger list find the Display Adapters and expand the list. Right click on your video card and select Properties. Under the Drive tab you'll find the Rollback button. Click on that and you should see a list of previous drivers you may have used before. Select the one you want from the list. Click APPLY or OK.

You will also see a UNINSTALL button for the driver on this menu as well.

I prefer to uninstall using the ATI instructions.

You can download a previous driver version from ATI here (https://support.ati.com/ics/support/KBList.asp?folderID=307).
Info about removing the old driver is here (https://support.ati.com/ics/support/KBAnswer.asp?questionID=20561).
Info about installing the new driver is here (https://support.ati.com/ics/support/KBAnswer.asp?questionID=20429).
The catalyst uninstaller utility can be found here (https://support.ati.com/ics/support/KBAnswer.asp?questionID=1447).

Not sure what you mean by "signing in."

If I click on the links this is the page that I get:

https://support.ati.com/ics/support/StartNewSession.asp

You need an account with ati for full access to their support section

https://support.ati.com/ics/support/mylogin.asp

Oh and it didnt work by uninstalling my drivers, i get the black screen and the driver failure message through ati software.

I forgot that the session times out after a time.

Right click on each link and then COPY SHORTCUT of each link and paste it to Windows notepad.

Then go to the ATI support site at http://support.ati.com and sign in or just click on Drivers and Downloads link on that page as a "Guest." That should start a "new session."

Then copy the links from notepad an paste them to your browser one by one as you need them. That should work.

That's brilliant, Keith, Thanks.

I've seen references to removal on other tech posts here before, but I've never been able to find the right pages until now. I printed them out.
