It appears to me a white screen and cursor (with music!) after clicking the "play" button...... I've bought an additional 512mb of ram for the game...... I'm just wondering what makes it cannot show the stuff I expect!!

Thanks for reminding. I've now noticed the post you made recently. Is it enough for me to update my drive according to the site in your post and also get a new video card to proceed my game?

Thanks again!

I actually often get a white screen after I launch the game (where the Sierra logo/promo usually plays). I have to press ESC on the keyboard, and then sometimes the game minimizes to the task bar. If I then click the game in the task bar, it comes back up and everything is normal from that point onwards.

Sounds to me like the original poster does need a video card upgrade. But I'm also curious if he is describing what I'm seeing as well (in which case, though he'll probably have other problems if he doesn't upgrade his video card, the white screen may not be caused by the old hardware).

Best,

If that's your case, that brings back old memories. Your system is one of those that does not allow the online movie files to wrok. So, in that case, you need to find the movie folder and delte its contents. Not the folder though or it will try to put it back with the CD installed. It's happened beofre and no exact manufacturer or model has this problem. Just some and that is what you need to do to fix that problem.

What's strange though is that it's intermittent. Doesn't happen every time. No big whoop though. :)

Hurin, I intermittently have the same white screen at the startup of the movie - I always get the TM logo screen:) though. All I do is wait and it usually comes up with the logo eventually. I notice it is usually when either the CD is hot or I have left the computer on for days - I suspect my problem is is heat. Turning the comp off for awhile fixes the problem.
