View Full Version : Chariot statue - 2 versions?

I noticed that there are 2 different versions of the Chariot statue (see pic).

I call them the 'dull' and the 'shiny'...

Default seems to be the dull one...and in trying to get the shiny one it took me 3 or 4 placements at the same spot to get it.('r' key didn't help either)
Desirability doesn't seem to matter since I put plazas and had the obelisk placed too and still had the dull and shiny versions.

Is it just random or does anybody know how to get the shiny one repetetively?

Same I think with statues, sometimes I get a "grey" one and sometimes a posh one with gold.

I wrote about these two chariot statues in the demo. It seemed to me it is random which one you'll get, at least in the demo.

Likewise, I noticed the same thing with the colored bushes. It's got to be one of the most annoying features I've ever seen. I love the multiple color options, but there has to be a better way to let us at them rather than click-click(to hide the stupid interface)-click-look-undo-repeat.

I once plunked down four horseman statues in a row and three were light colored and the fourth was darker. It appears to be completely random.

Thanks guys,
at least its verified - it was driving me nuts (more so than I already am ;) )

Hmm, statues and bushes:eek: too eh...?!?

Well, if it was 'selectable' you could use either for like pleb-section and the other for your 'better neighborhoods'...

You need to be able to go through them with a key. There are few enough scenery options as it is!

I agree, not enough scenery options. :(

If you have the columns too, over a road, could be decorative "arches". Only we will know they're really aqueduct :)

Select from the list again to cycle through style choice. From what I have seen with iron mines, you don't have to place the item.

As I know, the Standing statue also has 2 versions. 1 is white and 1 is gold.

Thanks:)

I prefer the shiny ones..the dull ones look like it's one of those things that's about to collapse from lack of engineers. :(

Gold mines too, one has a fence the other doesn't.
