Ok. I'm FINALLY getting the hang of this (thanks in large part to Mark and others on this forum!), managing to grow my cities pretty happily and organically and actually ended my last scenario with 100 Favor. And then the win screen comes up and it says "You cheated!" I most certainly absolutely did NOT cheat! Any ideas??

ygg, did you have the trade bug issue? if you did, and you "fixed" it, your win screen will show like you cheated.

Did you change the game files as part of a work around for the trade bug? If so, it shows as a cheat. If you modded the files, it will show as a cheat. IMHO, TM has to be strict about it because of the online component.

Nope. I traded happily from start to finish. In fact, almost nothing went wrong apart from a few burnt buildings at the beginning before I had enough immigrants....

Edit because at first I didn't understand what Bex meant: Ooo. Yes, I had to change the file in order to not crash when I opened trade routes. I can KINDA see that they'd have to be strict about it, but it is a bug in their game (and it took down my whole machine with it...not just the game) - :( !

TM knows about it, and they are working on it ygg...but in the meantime, you will get that screen everytime...I know, it sucks :(

When u'll see it dozens of times, after each scenario, u'll get over it. Is not nice I agree, and what i hate most is I'm unable to compete online. But 1/2 sandwich is better than NO sandwich :rolleyes:
Btw, there is a thread somwhere, with cities from main campaigns u can download, with trade lanes opened by people who dont experience that bug. There is also an invitation to post the cities u need your lanes opened.
