Learning Ancient Egyptian

Hey everyone,
I've been looking around, but I can't find anything on how to read and write hieroglyphics.
Are they any books or classes I could take to learn?

An excellent book I've found helpful is 'How to Read Egyptian Hieroglyphs' by Mark Collier and Bill Manley. It should be available in most bookstores and your library, as well as at online stores like amazon and bn.com. It's a slim volume, packed with good information, and written for the layman as opposed to the scholar.

I've got a booklet called The easy way to read & write hieroglyphics by Amr Hussein. I guess more information is needed here for me. The little book seems allright, and perhaps it's only me. Can't really get started. :( So thanks, Ineti, I will try your book too. :)

I have another one that uses a applet to teach you to read hieroglyphics. I'll have to see if I can find that link again.
