Now, Kieth, you don't know this. Patches are commonplace, especially with games that have an online component. Of course, C4 Online could be just dropped.

Then there always is the possibility of an expansion.

If C4 Online worked before with v1.1, VanGriffin, then it really should work with v1.2. Your C4 Main Menu says v1.2 (before you try to long in), correct?

I had to edit manually & reapply my Firewall exceptions to use v1.2. Both IN & OUT. My exceptions for v1.1 no longer worked.

Perhaps a Tech Team member can help you here?

Do you have a router? Did you open port 3306 for v1.1? If so, can you try opening 3310?

Yeah, i check the port its running on version 1.2 port 3310.

Ping are a little slow but ok. No Firewall issues, thanks Mark for checking them.

I'm running MCaFee suite 2007, but have been before CIV arrived.
Used the online play 1.0 and 1.1 without a hitch.

I'm on a 56 k connection but its dropped to 45... sniffles, how I miss my cable modem. You don't wanna know where the traceroute goes, I'm in the middle of Minnesota, sadly.

If you want some more info I can toss at ya, let me know =)

I had many problems getting logged on, somehow the mcafee suite did not work properly with the new update, and for me it was not possible to get rid of the issues other than getting rid of the whole Mcafee thing.

Now it works as before, somehow there is a conflict between the Mcafee internet security software and the on-line game play of C4, I could not solve it another way, even with all the tips from the people from C4.

I've been using McAfee's online Viruscan and Personal Firewall Plus for 4 years here and I have no problems at all. So my guess is that the problem Marcus had is more system specific than and problem with McAfee's in general.

Same here i use McAfee's and have had no problems getting online.
