Play as the great queen Hatshepsut. :D
This was the scenario used in the "Daughter of Kings" contest for CBC. :)

Kewl ~ First download & it goes at the very top of the list too! :)
I recommend too this scenario, great tricky world map, different ways to do it.
Thanks Azeem! :)

I'm joining the chorus!!
Excellent world map, great (and familiar) city map, lots of space to build pyramids. :D
If you really want a challenge, try to get the win screen within the time constraints from the contest (hard by 1954 bce and easy by 1944 bce, each before 7:20 pm in Shemu). Kiya is right--very tricky.
Thanks again Azeem!

I found myself playing this one over and over. It was so much fun. And had so many different ways to approach it.
A very well thought out scenario.

Azeem I enjoyed playing it.
Gave a lot of time to make a lovely city and the WM was great.
thanks to you
Looking out for a new scenario like this...................
but remembered this was my second scenario ever in CotN so I never got to the original game so that I first have to clear.

can't wait to try this. The best part of Caesar 4 seems to be that peeps have noticed CotN again and we are getting some new scenarios :D
Enjoyed this one so very very much. :)
This one I played for speed, but could get much higher prestige using Obelisks instead of Steles.

Azeem, that was a great scenario. loved it that it was from a woman's point of view without being goofy. thanks for posting it.

This was a lot of fun to make. The history behind Hatshepsut is quite interesting and she was a very remarkable ruler. It's unfortunate that she doesn't get as much exposure as Cleopatra. :)

It's unfortunate that she doesn't get as much exposure as Cleopatra. :)Cleopatra was a Greek who ruled under the foot of the roman empire, did nothing extraordinary, and gained power by seducing and using men. Now Hapshepsut! There was a queen. :D

Gah... Almost finished the scenario...
Getting rather close. Once I finish I'll put up a review at HG.
Loving it as far as it is.

Thanks for all your hard work. :D The pace was nice with sites and goals being revealed gradually. It was longer than I expected but that's a good thing and no raiders showing up to pollute my city!

Are you talking about where to put the downloaded scenario? If so, it goes in TiltedMill/CoN/data/scenario. Hope this helps.

Thanks, Azeem - that was fun. :D
I made a few blunders but got there in the end. ;) I was gammoned into building cityguards
I considered a pyramid, but decided against it as I was going for speed.
It would have been a valid entry in the original CBC contest in easy but not in hard.
But my second try would have been better. ;)
JRGRD - the competition dates were 1444 and 1454 BC (not 1944 and 1954), you had me worried for a minute

This was my first user scenario to download & I'm wondering if the rest are as hard as this one. Well, maybe not really hard, but a challenge.
Thanks Azeem!

Glad you liked it. :D Compared to some of the user-created scenarios here, this one is fairly easy. :o There are some stress-free "builder"-type of scenarios, however. :)

This scenario isn't all that difficult IMHO, but it was designed as a competition scenario, so it was made a bit tricky. So most of the sites on the WM are interwoven into a complex set of tasks. And if you are playing for speed you really need to set your priorities in this one, but that was great fun for me. Not to mention that one of the main goals in this competition was BEAUTY.
Azeem, no need to use the 'blush' thing. For me this one was one of the most entertaining scenarios: while building focusing on beauty, trying to do it in a minimalistic way AND gaining as much prestige as possible in the shortest possible time (since speed was one of the criteria if playing in the 'hard' section). As a personal goal I wanted not to have anything (healthcare, religion.....) on red. And the wonderful tricky WM on top of all of this! :)
What else could you ask for? ;) Great scenario! Once again thank you Azeem :) :) :)

Great job Azeem,
I really liked the intricate, interdependent World Map.
Will certainly revisit this one.

I have no educated people in my village. I've built a priests apartment but the game tells me that I have no educated people in my city hence I have nobody to fill the role as priest.
Thinking I've done something wrong or not done something I opened up the educated tutorial for the game and it tells me that usually you are granted your first educated person as a son of a noble or something similar to that.
I've got 3 nobles houses but yet I've still got not even one educated person in the village so I can't get a priest, which means I can't do mortuary services, or schools to educate more people etc.
Do I need to start over and hope that I get gifted an educated person with one of my nobles homes or is there something I've forgotten to do to get an educated worker to fill my role as priest?
Thanks,
JuliaSet

Hi Kuplo,
I hadn't played CotN for a while so had to re-visit this issue.
First buildings are brickmakers, bakers, and bricklayers.
Palace and about 4 nobles to enable farming.
The first building after that I put up a priest,(the nobles donate one priest) when that was done I put up a school, so you get more priests and other educated citizens.
About that time I'd go for a burial place for Pharaoh, and reserve his mastaba till something better was made. CotN takes a delicate balance to get running quickly.
We are having another CotN contest at CBC soon. Azeem has a new one in testing for us. Stay tuned at citybuildingcontests.com to see when its ready.

Howdy, Kuplo!
The game immediately gives you a magic graduate if you have no Educated Workers. This first graduate should always be used to make a dedicated Education Priest & leave him there for the remainder of the game.
It sounds like your city got upset & everyone left on you.
What you probably have is a widowed Scribe with no male. Delete it & you will immediately get a magic graduate, or the Scribe will come outta the basement & populate one of your Priest residences.
You can also give us a game save.

Doh!
That must be it. I placed a scribe before the priests apartment.
Thanks

That was my other guess. Delete that Scribe & you will be good to go! ;)
