I have come to terms with SC:S, it is not Sim City 5, and it's the odd one out. Kinda like when Squaresoft decided it would be a great idea for another developer to creater Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest. My heart rate is also down from last night. :)

So TM, good look in creating SC:S and marketing to a completely different audience. I suppose I'll wait for SC5 a few more years...

Tm is actually really privileged to make a interpretation of Simcity. I agree this isn't nor should be seen as a Simcity 5. Nor should it be ignored that it remains a kin to Simcity. While it may end up the hated stepchild of the series it is a Simcity. The only Simcity to be made officially not by Maxis.

Sadly I doubt Simcity 5 will ever be produced by Will Wright. He has expressed his distaste with the series and has said if he did one more it would be the last. Though he admitted he would like to develop other games. Mind you this interview came right before he went public with Spore. Who knows what state of mind he is in right now when it comes to SC. If SC5 does come out it will probably be produced by what remnants of Simcity 4's producers are left and new blood. One can only hope its like its predecessors or better.

According to that Action Trip article, Will Wright wasn't involved with SimCity 4 either.

He was losely involved in the Conceptual stage. Not the development though.
Simcity 4 was really the child of his development team and EA. Which as we know turned out to be one of the greats. Well in anycase so far Im please with how TM is progresss. Just my opinion though:o
