Let's face it, COTN and C4 were pigs. Needed a monster PC to work well with higher (ie, normal) resolutions and good (detailed, again, normal) graphics settings.
From the pics/video's I've seen on this, appears to be much bigger maps and more buildings. MUCH bigger maps. Based on past experience I would say we might be looking at LOTS of slowdown.
But...the game mechanics in the earlier games were pretty complicated. The warehouse had cart-pushers, and amounts of items to keep track of...there was lots of detailed information for EACH building.
In the new game, you plop down a building and it 'generates' prosperty, or what-have-you. Maybe there isn't so much churning going on with maintaining all the details. IE, smoother graphics, bigger maps, less slow-down.
We shall see. A game aiming to have as wide an audience as this one has to run better on mid-range PC's than COTN/C4 ever did, that's for sure.
Maybe we'll get a demo soon and can find out for ourselves...
