How about a breakdown on just what FLP, LOD etc files do? I would like to fix the cloister resort in my game, the base is 90 degrees off kilter.
Thanks

Files marked FLP are "floorplan" files -- they show the areas in a building where Sims are permitted to walk.
Model files marked LOD (stands for "level of detail") are simplified versions of a building that are substituted for the detailed model in situations where you're too far away to see the details, in order to help keep your graphics card from early retirement.
Your best bet is changing the base in the Cloister XML to something close to 12x16 instead of 16x12. There are 'urban' and an 'urban dirt' bases of that size exactly (see the list of available bases in data/graphics/models/bases and dataxp1/graphics/models/bases) -- try those and see if the different style of base is less objectionable to you than the dimension mismatch.
Good luck!

I gave it a try but with much the same result. It looks like its just the wrong size base all together.

OK, it looks like the correct size is 18x12. There is no such critter either in the basic game or the expansion pack. An urban would be nice to match the stone of the building better. (hint-hint, plead-plead.)
