El-Lahun (Enhanced)

This is the enhanced version of the El-Lahun CBC contest scenario, modified for CotN version 1.3.

Build the town of Hetepsenusret and the El-Lahun pyramid to serve Pharaoh Senusret II.

There are additional triggers in this version such as Pharaoh's periodic visits. If there's some wierdness in them, post any bug reports here. :)

Note that scenarios in version 1.3 are put in "C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\Tilted Mill\Children of the Nile\Scenarios\"

BUG FIXES:
-Fixed a Failure trigger error.
-Fixed a bug where a trigger opened the wrong site.

Must one have the "enhancement" from Tilted Mill to play this game? I only have the original version with the original patch.

Tinkerbell, I got that too, JUST as I was starting out. Pharaoh is only 8 years old - and there is 600 + food there and Prestige is still at 8 - 20. I have no idea why I failed... :(

This was played on v2. I believe there is a problem with important messages that tell us what to build. v1 they were popups & v2 they are at the bottom of the interface. If we miss them, we are left clueless, cuz they do not show in the Message Log, so here are the spoilers for everyone (Highlight to see):

#1 ~ We need to build 2 temples & 32 laborers

#2 ~ We need to build 6 Greater Horus Statues

After Win, I loaded the scenario into the Editor to see what I missed:

#3 ~ We need to build Cult Temple & 8 Small Mastabas.

So, on Continue Play, I did #3 along with all the stuff on the left side of the World Map. I would encourage everyone to definitely Continue Play, or you miss a LOT! :D

Imaged is the Win Screen at Win & the rest are where I stopped on Continue Play with everything open (for the image & to see if it would trigger anything new. Can't keep all the gold sites open). Did I get everything?

Weird.. I got a win without some of the requisite things built that you mention, Tinkerbell.. I just had the basics mentioned in the Scenario info - 4 small mastabas, med pyramid and I think there was a 3rd one but I can't remember it now.
Mind, I was working on V 2 and see there is now a V 3.
I also had none of the World Map LH stuff, only the very first one.. I did get the Pharaoh is Awed text message though, but I got a site to open called Pharaoh is Annoyed immediately after the "Pharaoh is Awed" message! lol.

Seems I need to do V 3.

I think the fix is about getting the Pharaoh is Awed message then the Pharaoh is Annoyed site to open immediately after it. If you look, I uploaded my Win before Azeem did V3, and I IM him here to let him know about the conflicting messages. :) So I think the fix involves that at least.

I don't know how to change the text color here, you see, so couldn't put it in black like you did, and didn't want a Spoiler then here, so I IM him with it.

Played V 3 and found that it was more difficult to keep the amount of food up than before for some reason. I only had 6 nobles same as last time, but food was very low even with all Sites open.

Only complaint is the same as Tinkerbell's - I missed all but one of the texts about Pharaoh, and because they aren't in the Notes, or whatever you call that screen, I couldn't read the past ones. I only knew about the Horus statues cos I had read about them here. It didn't spoil the game for me at all, though.
Anyway, I Won again. :) and Played on. Here are the results. :)

I'm guessing it's in the "Application Data" folder same as in SCS.

Sorry, I should have searched my hard drive for *.scn before asking for some reason on my vista 32b home premie edition they go into a data folder that is in the installation folder of the game so for me they are at :

D:\Vista Games\Children of the Nile\data\scenarios
