I have noticed that at times the minimap doesn't appear to be refreshing properly. It almost appears to be bluring or bleeding downward and after a while it will refresh. Seems to happen randomly as I am walking around. Is anybody else having this issue?

We think this has to do with getting near the edge of the world in widescreen resolutions -- a temporary workaround would be to play in windowed mode or in a 4x3 resolution. Please PM me if you're seeing these symptoms and you're not using widescreen.

Please post your DX diag text file that will give us a chance to if we can solve your issue. Off the top of my head it sounds like a video driver issue but it's just a guess.
Oops Will beat me to it:p

Yah i was running in wide screen 1920x1200 resolution. I'll try windowed mode in a standard res and see what it does.

Running Widescreen 1680x1050 - same problem in my village with "blurring" minimap.
Also, I can't see the topmost building location of my village. I guess the zoom of my town just checks width, but not height? ;)

Yep my case too. Running 1400*900. When in town, I see diagonal white lines running from building location to the edge of the minimap.

Another issue with the minimap for me is that it has a black background and is not the grass-green that I see in all of the shots. Everything else about the minimap works fine. I still see the building outlines, it's just black all around.
Also, I get the streaking in widescreen.

Updating to the nvidia WHQL drivers released on 9/25 fixed most of my widescreen issues (I'm running at 1440x900).

Updated my Nvidia drivers, didn't do anything.
Same problems. Black Minimap (this is when FSAA is turned on at any level), and stretched lines in widescreen resolution when in town.

I have just updated nVidia drivers from 175.19 to 178.13 - No I have the Black-Minimap-Bug, too. And the widescreen issues are still unresolved.
(Running HL at 1680x1050 - even when changing resolution to 1280x1024 these problems occur...)
I'm now downgrading again... :-/
Tom and others too, I had a 'bleeding' minimap too. Got it fixed.
I have 22'' widescreen monitor, 1680x1050 resolution.
In-game settings all maxed, but I changed the in-game resolution to 1280x1024, works just fine, both windowed and fullscreen. No vertical stripes or anything on minimap. Hope this will help some of you.

That is no solution ^^

The black minimap is caused by FSAA, if I remember correctly. If you turn it off, you should get the color back.

Confirmed. Still it would be fine, if TM fixes the issues with widescreen and the black Map... ;)
