Extending character

Ok I am almost done with the first map and I am wondering what happens to your character when you are done - does your character keep all stats and levels and you proceed to a new map with harder enemies and all new objectives or do you start over at level one again?

I think you receive a general score for your game, and start a new one, at level one.

Exactly; after finishing the game (clearing all monster locations) you can end the game and view the Highscore, or you just go on playing - most useless, since you can only build up you town, but there are no more enemies...

Lately I have been experimenting with destroying everything but the enemy bases. this way the raiders keepcoming. while this is occuring I research and craft up. just for the purpose of playing longer.
