How to use Summoned Skeletons

I've got them summoned....but now they just stand there. Are they only useful as defenders?

Take the necromancer with you, the skeletons will follow.

They're pretty effective in a party, I found. :) I let my Necro do some research and at L 2 he had 3 L 5 Skellies. Slice n dice the enemy
