Great game. I'm having fun with it, and am really looking forward to the update. I think this game is fun now, AND it has a lot of potential. Here's a list of bugs / suggestions I've noticed - I hope you'll consider them.
Note: I see the free content update was just released today. I haven't tried it yet, but didn't see any of these mentioned directly in the changelist, so hopefully they're all still fresh. I'm sure I'll find out, playing this weekend :)
So-far unreported issues (at least, I'm not aware they're reported):
===
1. Sometimes an acolyte will heal me almost to full health, but not quite - this seems to happen if my health is almost full, but one more heal would be able to push me over my max HP. I think as long as nobody else is waiting to be healed who could receive the full benefit of a heal, the acolyte should just heal me that one last time to max out my HP. For example, if the acolyte is healing 2.5 HP / heal, and my HP is 5/26, the acolyte will heal me all the way up to 25/26, but won't heal that last HP (because it's less than 2.5, which is his/her healing rate). This should be fixed.
2. When I click on a second party member, when it opens the screen where I can see their inventory, and tell them to go back and work a job, etc., if I drag an item into their inventory in the middle of the screen, their inventory on the far right of the screen won't be updated, even after I close the pop up screen with the second inventory.
3. If I drag some monsters from a neighboring camp to a portal that I've unlocked, I'm able to click on the portal to teleport out of there while I'm stunned. I also notice potions are drinkable while stunned. Are both of these by design, or is it a bug?
4. Sometimes when in the "zoomed out town" view, it's too hard to click on certain buildings - especially if I place a farm at the very bottom tile. Would it be possible to just make clicking anywhere on the building's tile open the building? Misclicking kicks me out of the zoomed out town view, which is hardly ever what I meant to do :o
5. Highscore list improvements - the name limits on our characters are pretty short, and the names on the list get repetitive pretty fast - could you perhaps provide a date that a score was attained to help narrow things down a little?
6. If I raise a few levels and haven't found an acolyte yet, it takes quite a while to heal, and sometimes there's nothing to do in town but wait. Could healing in town just be instant, if no enemies are enroute? Or could we have a building (perhaps a fountain) that accomplishes the same?
7. Characters sometimes get stuck - for example, one time I saw a raiding party on the "region" map stop at a certain place for a while (about 30 seconds) - it finally unstuck itself. It was too far away for me to go there and see what happened. Also, sometimes it seems a little too easy to trick raiders into staying on the other side of your manor, where you can avoid fighting them temporarily while they mumble about on the other side, and heal your character back up.
8. Sometimes when running very quickly, if my character runs right into an obstacle, the character will "jump" into the air slightly, just briefly. It doesn't affect gameplay much, it just looks awkward, and is kind of annoying (there seems to be a loss of control while the character is in the air, which sort of makes sense). It looks to me like it's a result of the way the physics engine handles collisions.
9. When I open a (for example) cow herder's farm to give them either a bag of oats or a whistle, when I drag the item into their inventory, the amount of food they produce doesn't update. I have to close the window and open it again to find out how much benefit I'm getting, which is a bit annoying. Even better, show how much bonus an item gives on the item's tooltip!
Previously Reported Issues:
===
1. Fix the "overlapping levels" issue on widescreen in the "see all followers" window.
2. Fix the "can't see the furthest north building" when zoomed out in town view on widescreen
3. Sometimes when I have an empty building, the option to hire a follower to the existing building has the wrong text (it has the text for building a new building). The cost looks correct.
4. Casters (especially healers) are quite difficult to level, since typically only their attack power raises
