I everyone,
i really don't understand why the game Hinterland are really too slow for my cpu. I have all what the game need to play and it still slow more then my grandmother climbing a mountain !

First, when we try to force low graphic, the game crash at the start and i can't play. Second, when i choose auto graphic and getting the minimal recommandation for playing, the game are still slow.... full screen or windows screen.

I'm trying to find a fix for that, update for that... i find nothing and damn, i don't like spent money on a game who look like good to play but i can't.

When i'm in the game, the FPS suck, the game are slow. I can't support playing a game when the only thing i see it's every movement after 10 sec waiting. Impossible to fight, moving, building, spitting... everything is too slow.

Please, try to help me.
Thx Malamut

P.S. my english suck.. i'm french first but i try.

Sorry I have no French but will try to explain your problem.
1. you have only 1gb of ram which is the bare minimum to run Vista
2. you have too many background programs running at one half of your page file
3. your video drivers are too old to update your video drivers you need to use the ati mod tool which will allow your laptop to use standard video drivers
4. you sound drivers are way too old those also need updating

Hinterland has very modest system requirements but in your case you would need to turn off Aero in Vista and lighten the load of background programs to run it.

If you have a problem with what I've told you please let me know I'll see if one our French speakers can help you.

Be careful with those ATI drivers. I have a laptop also, and updating my video drivers sent my performance right down the pooper. Looked like it wouldn't share my main memory any more for video use. Be sure you can selectively restore the driver back to factory before you commit to the update.

Also, for those background programs, check out End It All (http://www.docsdownloads.com/enditall-1.htm). Great little tool I use every time I do any gaming or photo editing. It really works wonders, and is very easy to use.

Really, though, your biggest problem is that low ram. It'd be well worth your money to double it, especially with your shared memory video card. I get 800+ MB of video memory out of my setup.
