Some sort of Visitor panel would be nice to use, so that you can control which visitors are allowed to visit.

Agreed. I really don't get why necros keep showing up with a temple of good in town. Don't they get it?
I would also like a means of advertising for a certain follower. It would also be cool to be able to advertise and then auto-hire when they arrive. Here's how I see it: You would advertise for a certain follower of a certain level, price varied accordingly. There should be some delay for them to arrive, longer for higher level characters, but not more than say a week. Then when they arrive in town they are automatically hired and resume the work of the previous occupant (selling/not selling, praying/researching, etc.) Given that last bit, you could only advertise for followers who have been killed, since you couldn't place their dwelling and would have to already have built a tower, smithy, stage etc. for them to occupy.
Seems like there should be a requirement for this ability. Maybe you have to have an Inn or an estate, or perhaps add another follower class: "Provost" to manage the hire while you're away? Kind of makes sense that after a while you'd have one anyways...
BTW, yes I know you can just advertise away until your needed follower shows up, but I like this better and, I think, is what Boaster may be after in a round-about way.

After a certain fame level I would like to see visitors showing up that are upgraded basics. A guard tower becomes useless onces your npc dies. I have had one guard tower guy (can't think of his name) show up after the first one died in 3 or 4 games now.
I would like to have a greater potential for a visitor to show up that matched an available dwelling.
Maybe just 20% for a single person to show up that matched a vacant dwelling per visitor update.
