I don't know where I went wrong but the game tells me im making 10 bricks per (hour, or day, can't remember) and consuming 0, but it's been several days since I last logged in and I have 0 bricks but 1500 clay.
I also have a bakery, that's producing a net gain of 9 per hour, but all I've got in stock after being away for several days is 1.
Also I had two jewlery shops, but I've closed them down since they never produced any jewlery, and I was getting no more labor after being away several days I would have thought I'd get some more people in my labor pool.
Confused.

Do you have enough of the other basic goods, like wheat and reeds? The figures mentioned are based on the number of workers you have assigned to those industries, the actual output may be limited by shortage of basic production goods.
When you hover with your mouse over the item in the list you can see what is needed. The same information is available in the overview window for the specific shop.

After several days it is possible you reached the limit (300). Don't think the affect of not correcting this has been tested. Wehn a limit is reached, the goods amount will show red. To correct this upgrade (or build) the warehouse. A warehouse shouldn't be needed until palace level three, but over production is possible.
Can't think of any other reason. One jewelry shop will keep up with production of emeralds or gold (I assume you have one as your resource). Level one palace = 30 laborers.

Sound to me as if he indeed forgot to produce reeds along with clay. Bricks need both.

Thanks, you all are correct, I didn't click on the reeds in my town to set labor to it, it didn't even occur to me to do so.
It's all running properly now and making bricks and what not else that I've told it to.

Mouseover on the items at the bottom of the screen, Kuplo. It tells you what is needed to produce them. The Reed Marsh is not a building, so it is pretty easy to miss, since we start with one. ;)

Yeah I caught that, I think what happened is simply that I saw the reeds in the town on my screen but it just never crossed my mind to assign workers to there since it was already setup in my town I must have just assumed that the workers would have been already assigned to it since it was already in my town.
Thanks,
