Does *anyone* sell jewelry?

I have 5 emerald cities 1 nome north, and 5 gold cities 1 nome south. I see gold on the market every now and then, but never any emeralds or any jewelry!

The emerald and gold cites can see each other with a level 2 market, so it's puzzling why no jewelry is being produced, or emeralds sold. Has anyone ever seen any jewelry on the open market this cycle of testing?

EDIT: I'm in Amunsheni nome, and so am going to need a steady supply of jewelry in the future in addition to the regular upgrade needs.

I produce Jewellery.

From my experience it never lasts very long on the market.
My last batch of 4 jewellery offers took less than a minute to find buyers.
My prices are moderate (from what I gathered and from what I see on the market, so many greedy bastards), but I guess even expensive jewellery would sell quickly as it is in high demand for all players.

Your best chance is to get into contact with someone who produces jewellery and make a direct agreement (either through messaging ingame, which some people dont like, or using the steam chatroom for instance).

Try upgrading your market to see more nomes. I KNOW there's jewelery for sale. At least in Bastnedj! :p

Yeah, looks like level 3 market time, though I doubt that will get me enough "range" to see into another jewelry market.

I have the same problem but I think once people set up their second cities on gold and emeralds the jewellery monopolies will be totally banished.

You know, after examining the 5 emerald cities in the nome north of me, I think they're all ghost towns. They are all still level 1, and all still named Djedu.

I wish we could take over ghost towns for a smaller fee than building one from scratch!

I'm in Rasesmet as well on the Cedar side (Theonwi). Still no jewelry on the market.

Found a source to acquire perfume. Sending them Cedar to build ships and they are sending me perfume in return instead of spending 30 bread per unit of perfume as is currently being offered on the market. Of course, I have to wait 2 days for the return, because they are so far away.

If you cannot find what you want in your local market area, upgrade your market a couple of times and you'll be able to trade with cities in nomes farther away from your city.

I get jewelry by buying cheap gold & expensive emeralds & tear down one of my basic shops (baskets or pottery) & make it myself.

It is what works in my neighborhood.

but since I had 2000 bread it was no issue to buy the cheaper ones for my palace upgrade

We've gotten the expanded market thing. Up to level 4 market. What should be the jewelry producing nomes were in range at a level 3 market. Emeralds are one and 2 nomes North. Gold is 3 nomes North. One Pharaoh is selling jewelry within 8 nomes (4 each way) of Rasesmet.

Working the private trade angle now to start producing my own jewelry.

I don't know how I am going to ever be able to upgrade my palace to level 4. No jewerly or perfume has been offered in my locality that I've seen yet. I can get a little gold but have never seen emeralds on sale in order to make my own. Despite living over the river from 5 Henna cities it took me a long time to purchase any. Now I have to wait for gold to come on the market. Still no one said it would be easy. LOL.

I checked out the 15 nearest nomes including mine to me to see what they produce. 8 north and 8 south. 5 cedar, 4 of Henna, Oil, Gold and Leather and 3 of Emeralds,Bronze and coal. So Emeralds are always going to be hard to find where I am. So checked out the 3 emerald nomes. One only had 3 cities on emerald side and 7 leather over the river. Of the 14 emerald cities within 8 nomes of me , 7 are level 3 cities and 7 are still level 1 cities. So realisticly 7 cities are supplying emeralds for 150 pharoahs. This is going to be hard. And I am in the middle of 8 nomes without emeralds. the nearest Emerald nome to me is 4 north or 5 south. Its going to take me a while to upgrade my market and palace.

Honets I am really loving this game. It is awesome.

I think another thing to consdier is the age of the game.
Most players are just a few days old.

My neighbourhood for instance started to actively use the market just recently.
It currently is in an experience gathering phase...
Many people post wares and the prices fluctuate like crazy as everyone is trying to figure out how much money he can squeeze out of his stupid neighbours. :rolleyes: (40 per for cedar?!)

I'm a gold producer in Sethemsi and am working hard to secure a steady supply of emeralds to produce jewelry. Emeralds are next to non-existent in my area (market level 5 - currently not able or willing to expand market another level to see nothing). I'm sending out the begging scrolls to pharoah's 2-4 hours away. :rolleyes:

Also, I've had to establish a perfume shop as no one is selling perfume. Unfortunately, henna seems just as hard to come by.

Currently producing jewelry in Osirisedjet on a leather town. Found that the cost to demolish a shop and build a new one is just 10 bricks, so, will adapt 1 of my shops to build the required finished goods, while purchasing raw materials from the market. That is, until the lazy emerald and gold towns start putting their finished goods in the market :p

Just a request... more oil! hehe, oil workers in the osirisedjet area, produce more oil, my oil eager population has alot of bread to give :D
