View Full Version : Possible bug: Market listing fee
I had a large quantity of sandals for sale over the night, and decided that I wanted to tweak the price. I therefore took them off the market, but realised that the listing fee was not refunded, ergo I can't afford to put them back on. Is this a bug, or is it intentional? If it is intentional, then I suggest the listing fee is refunded upon removing it from the market, and also make it more straight-forward to adjust the price/quantity.

In fact it is a way to avoid people making unreasonable prices and then waiting to see if keep on the market or repricing without penalty, or to use the market as warehouse.

I wanted to say something like that but couldn't think of a way to write it:o.

It reminds me of a different BG, where people did exactly this to exploit the system. What many did not realize, was that the devs had taken it into account, and that ressources put on the market was in fact deducted from the warehouse limit.
In other words, if the limit of jelly is 1000 jars, and you put 500 jelly on the market, your warehouse limit will now only be 500. It is assumed that what you advertise on the market, is kept in your warehouse.

Your warehouse limit (depending on the level of the warehouse) will stay the same whether you put something on the market or not. If put on the market the goods are not anymore in your warehouse, nor are they counted as yours, unless you removed them from the market in which case you loose the 'advertising/storing' fee.

I think the current system works well, encourages users to price accurately. If you are unsure of price put small amounts on or upgrade market so you can get a better feel for what price items sell at..

To me it's not 'an exploit'. Either somebody buys it or if not I have paid an unnecessary fee for 'storing' my stuff on the market. I think it is pretty well right now. I wouldn't like it if the storage quantity is depending on how much stuff I have on the market; now I don't have to remember that since it is the same all the time (unless I upgrade of course).
