Just upgraded my market so I could source goods from further afield.
I see some pottery on sale at 80 per each. Was wondering what sort of prices anyone else has seen ?

I've been keeping cedar rather low in my area, but I've seen sandals get to 25. Nothing too crazy in these here parts, but enough to realize that my best bet is trading off cedar for other raw materials.

I've sold a lot of cedar at 14-15 which seems to be a good price for it. Nothing to sell now as I am doing so many private deals its hard keeping track of them all. I'd love to have some more to sell however.
Current prices here
I just saw my first jewelry offer at 49 per each.
Perfume is at 39-40 and avalaible finally. I managed to get some on a trade of 3:1 for cedar. So I paid around 42-45 on opportunity cost.
Sandals are at 25.
Bronze is up to 19 per each here.
Gold is at 12 per.
Henna 12 also.
Leather 14-15 per.
Oil at 10 per.
Nothing else selling.
Really there is not much on the market and I have a level 4 market now so seeing 9 nomes goods.

In Rawesh area, the market is quiet as everyone hoards their bread and bricks for either palace upgrade to 5 or 6 or a new city.
Dont forget to upgrade your warehouse early-on, cause a new city takes 1500 bricks and one upgrade will only hold 1400.

I saw gold at 30 per once:eek:. that was up for ages, I think that the owner just took it down though. It was never going to sell, given that the average price for gold was at 8-10 when I started, now it gone down to 5-6 with a lot of 7-8's still on the market.

what a dramatic contrast to our market around Bastdepet - bronze seems to be shifting for about 10...statues 17 or less. None of the gold citys appear to be active, and there not selling on the market at all..its quite painful...oh to have my paws on that monoply.

I know how you feel, I'm 3 down from you (Setsef) and haven't seen gold on the market at all in the last few days >.>
On the other hand, cedar is being sold for 7 per down here.
I really do think the market range should be increased, either when you start or by 2 nomes per level.

I think it is very important to upgrade the market.

I agree, although you won't always find cheaper goods.;)

Emeralds have never come on the market here and I have been level 4 market for some time. No matter what anyone else thinks I am sure I'm going for an emerald city next time. Every other item is avalaible even if you do have to pay though the nose but emeralds and jewelry. Nearly impossible to get.

for the first 2 cities, jewelry is definitely in higher demand. The 3rd city requires something like 1800 sandals sculptures perfume and cosmetics. So I think after a week or two of game time, that demand would be a lot lower.
but i'm just starting to save for my second city.. so what do i know

I saw Sandals at 5 per once. I didn't have the bread to buy them so I sat there crying.
They were snapped up within moments of me seeing the post.
On the other extreme, I've seen Reeds and Wheat posted for 10 each.

Level 4 Market Report Amunsheni:
Here, 39 nomes above the Center of the Nile, people in the beer halls still talk of the Legend of the Emerald, though no one can say that they've ever seen one. Jewelry and cosmetics are reputed to be sacred offerings that are entombed with Pharoahs, but no one is exactly sure what one looks like.
The mythic substance "Gold" has only recently been spotted, at 15 loaves per bar, but there have only been window shoppers to this point. Oil is almost as scarce locally, with prices that make perfume manufacturers think that people must think henna grows on trees, considering the prices between oil and perfume only differ by 5 loaves.
Here's Amunbob with the latest numbers for nomes 35-43:
Baskets 5
Bricks 10
Bronze ----
Cedar 9
Clay 0.6
Cosmetics ---
Emeralds ---
Gold 15
Henna 11
Jewelry ---
Kohl 10
Leather 10 (showing for the first time today)
Oil 15
Perfume 20
Pottery 8
Reeds 0.5
Sandals 30
Sculpture 16
Wheat 1

How did you find out the numbers of the nomes ?
I posted elsewhere that emeralds had just come on the market here for first time. 100 emeralds at 50 bread each for 5000 bread. I dare say that some of you inner pharoahs will be crying. If any of my friends want to be nice to me send emeralds.

I counted the nomes by hand. Look for the "Prime Nome" thread for the chart.

Leather 10 (showing for the first time today)
Eh? I'm in Setsen, # 38 and I've put tons of leather on the market. I trialed it at 10 today and it sold almost instantly. I haven't put much since yesterday though as I've been private trading or making sandals. Not sure what my two local comrades are doing with their leather but I haven't seen anyone else put it on the market (level 4).
