Has anyone else been getting caught up in price wars selling commodities? My whole economy is pretty much emerald based and after a few days of nice prices several other suppliers have shown up and we are in a pricing war of sorts. I just put some up for 7 per... I'm sure more will show up below that... Pretty soon my Emeralds are going to be worth less than reeds or wheat... : / Anyhow has anyone else run into this or found a good way to stem the dropping prices? I am thinking about forming EPEC (Emerald Producing and Exporting Cities) here... Also just a heads up that if you need Emeralds I have like... a thousand almost. Between what is up on the market unsold and what's in my stockpiles.

Probably everyone has ran into this or will at some point. I assume you have a jewelry shop, so send scrolls to several gold cities near you requesting a trade of gold for emeralds (they also will have jewelry shops & need emeralds). Maybe you will have better luck with jewelry on the market or maybe you can find other luxury cities to trade your jewelry with. Eventually you will need all luxury goods.

If you are new to Direct Trade this may help:

Well I'm sadly having no luck selling Jewelry either. This is why I've been weary to strike up more deals with gold sellers. Also nearly everyone I messaged did not respond. I think I must be near many dead cities. Also if anyone is near Setsheney and has gold I'd be willing to make a nice deal with you on emeralds. Like I said I'm literally swimming in Emeralds...

Oh wow, you are really far away from me...37 hrs.. so you are at the boondocks at the north I guess. Just go and message further to the center (south from you).. message level 4 cities as they are less likely to be inactive.

You can also take this as a sign to start diversifying your economy. :D

And don't complain. 7 per is better than most other raw materials sell for.
