Say when either global donations to a god reach some amount, everyone on the Nile receives a benefit from that god. Maybe Ra would give better harvest per worker, Bast more bread per worker (less lost to pests).
Or perhaps the god that received the most donations would give a benefit to those in that god's nome, to breed a little competition between nomes.
