I have a question about the appearance of the "luxury" shops

from top to bottom the shops are white but progressively turn 'darker' and more brown.

why do some of the luxury shops have white walls that match the palace
while others especially the perfume shop have walls that match the bakery?

and why would cosmetics be on second rank ?

Perhaps the perfume shop looks a bit dirtier since some of the flacons were thrown against the walls. I bet it would be a nice scent around it. Jewels and gold are not offering that much dirt potential. But then again cosmetics would... So the coclusion is - no idea. Perhaps just to make it look a bit more diverse when you got nothing in your city than luxury shops ?

In the original game, all the buildings started out as 'darker', but as the inhabitants sold more goods and had more bread in stock, they would take on a white color, indicating wealth.

The 'common' goods vendors were slightly 'browner' at max wealth, and the luxury goods vendors were whitish.

Basically this game depicts what the buildings would have looked like in the original game at maximum wealth.

perfume shops turned as white as any other luxury shop in the original Cotn
not that I remember clearly
