Production costs :
Materials : oil + henna, 1 oil consumed per hour, 1 henna cph
production of oil (that would be eventualy traded for henna):
1 oil per worker per hour
Feeding of 3 workers : 3 bread per hour. It takes 1 labor hour to produce 2,4 bread, so the price of 3 labor hours is 7,2 bread.
Price of the final product should be somewhere around 10 bread, if you add the costs of transport or market fee which is 10 %, then around 11 or 12 bread.
These calculations were made based on the taxation cost on the market, and were provoked by the outrageous prices for the luxury goods that currently can be found around my nome Amunheker (lev 5 market).
Correct me if I am wrong.

You are correct, but you're outlining only a part of a bigger picture. One would make a profit on perfume when sold for 10 bread, but there's always the mechanism of supply and demand. If people are willing to pay 18 bread for one piece of perfume, then one piece of perfume is worth 18 bread, simple as that.
In my area, the cost of jewelry fluctuates at about 24 bread a piece. If I were to sell perfume at 12 bread a piece, I would make 2 bread per sale. 2 bread per sale * 4.49 produces per hour * 24 hours = 215 bread per day, which would allow me to acquire less than 10 jewelry pieces a day more than if I were to just produce bread instead. Now 10 jewelry pieces are nothing if you look at the palace requirements.
Since my buyers are willing to pay more, I sell me perfume for more. Because if I'd make 6 bread profit per sale, I could buy: 6 * 4.49 * 24 = 647 bread = about 25 pieces of jewerly.
So if I increase the price of my perfume by 33%, I can buy 150% more jewerly. I can do that because people are willing to pay as much.
And that's why the prices are how they are.

Fundamentally, prices are still based on cost, in this game. It's just that this cost is not the cost to make for the seller, but depends on how much the buyer is willing to spend to get his or her palace upgraded faster. Even if it means paying a premium, an upgraded palace means more production, which means more bread or other stuff.

If some goods, such as emeralds, are in high demand then sellers won't be so willing to enter into price wars, and some salesmen will actually sell at a price higher than their neighbour simply because they know it will shift. Certainly a wise seller will know when they can sell at the same price or above current market levels.
Stuff that isn't quite so in-demand, like clay and wheat, you'll probably notice people undercutting each other, leading to massive price drops.
What do people need perfume for, other than the second city or rare palace upgrade?

Osiris wants perfume, otherwise won't give his blessing to his nomes.

i'm keeping my hopes up that they'll (perfumes) be in great demand as well when monuments/tombs (if that's the case) are finally implemented.

Perfume was being offered for 40 per when I made my decision to retool my sculpture factory for perfume, not to join them but only to supply myself at a more reasonable price. Even though the raw materials were also overpriced, and the retooling cost me bricks, I came out ahead.
20 Henna @ 10 = 200
20 Oil @10 = 200
10 bricks at 2.64 = 26.4
20 hours @ 2.4 = 48
Total = 474.4 bread
Cost of my own perfume = 23.72 bread

Perfumes are in demand again, maybe the crisis was because it was weekend or something else. Posting the thread on the forum for sure had to do something with it, anyways, I implemetnted some of the strategies that were given by you people, so thanks for help. I did made some progress here, also decided to start a leather city today afternoon, as soon as I stockpile 300 more bricks. Changing tactics had some positive effects.
