After weeks of hard trading I've finally made it from around 1600th to the top 10 in the rankings. Yay me. However, I suspect the last few ranks I gained were more to do with those above me 'going immortal' rather than any skilful trading on my part.
So if the rest of the top 10 could very kindly drop dead please, that would be much appreciated.

4 guys dropped since I last checked, so I moved 4 ranks up. Looks like this is the only way to go up, dunno for those two holding the top? Bread count is crucial - maybe...
We all owe to drop dead at some point. It's in the spirit of the game, which becomes pointless after a while. You can't fool death, if you don't die, passion dies for you. Reach immortality and then get born again. Play the game like you play life :). Leave room for others, don't get stuck there. It's not fun, it's not natural, it's not fair. :rolleyes:

I guess Aga won't quit until he's number 1. And Kuuchan doesn't seem to want to quit at all...
Since all 22/22/22/22 players basically only hoard goods, there is few chance to catch up. You can't take away their goods. You just can take away their monuments. I recall something about your prestige rises the longer you keep a monument, so taking the monuments away from top players frequently will not only use up ressources to build military again, it will also drop their prestige total.
So I think, either you wait for the tops to retire, or you'll have to battle for those ranks hard.

That's not entirely true Sakasiru. When I went on vacation a month ago, I dropped from rank 13 to rank 50 in one week, and now struggled my way back to #10. Main tactic is getting bread by selling cheap at the market, I'm at 2M now, Aga at 3.5M. It's quite interesting actually looking for ways to keep busy in the game. The trade wall is great: looking for fun, have fun, will trade 1-1, any amount, any time, any distance. No ships needed, instant satisfaction :D
Since yesterday I have a lvl 12 palace and the option to go immortal, but I'm still enjoying the end game. I don't know why Aga stays around, maybe he will tell you. I guess most of the high ranking players, including yourself, have their reasons for maintaining their mortality. Since we are still playing a beta test, more or less, it may be interesting to know, so possible additions or changes can be made to the game before Theoris reaches this stage.
I guess 3rd place is all a common mortal could hope for in Sabah. :D
Cazamun of Sabah is no more, his tomb can be found in the quiet nome of Rahewa, 126N... at least that's what I hope :p.

Does anyone know if we can still come back to Sabah and start over again? I thought we could, but noticed that Sabah is no longer an option on the "Create an account" page. I'd like the option to come back in the Beta world to see what's next...
I'm also wondering when the Hall of Immortality will be fixed. Yes, Cazamun, I saw your tomb in 126N. May you rest in peace. And may Young Cazamun be triumphant in Theoris!

Deg, thank you for the kind words. I've been watching your stats all this time and it seems we evolved in almost perfect synchronization. And our ranks were also synchronized... until I decided to accumulate tons and tons of food. Later I received massive amounts of unsolicitated goods from a trading partner quitting the game (thank you Ptar!) which together with lots of high rank players reaching immortality led to me getting the 3rd place right before entombment. So, that place meant unnatural amounts of food (I had 2 million bread at the last score update), some luck and very important: OLD PHARAOHS DROPPING DEAD! If only the two undying mortals had done the right thing before I left... ;)

How long is "weeks", seriously? Because I feel like I've been doing alright, better than some who started around the same time as me (Nov 8), not as good as others, but I've yet to crack the top 100, despite consistent growth and development.

I was 'born' on November 1st. So I guess months would have been more appropriate. Although it was only the last few weeks I've been doing much trading. Before that I was just coasting along and buying what I needed in the market.

Trade wall is different kind of pleasure, I see a new player in need of something, and I try to make him a deal, so he can also feel a pleasure of concluded bussines, then I send him something as a gift. Gives me pleasure to help someone, as some people helped me at my first days.

double, triple, quadriple accounts are cheating, and I have no wish to argue about it, no more, I send gifts because I want so, and they are one time only, just to give a new player something to start working on building an empire, but if it s something that happens more then once or twice, I have to agree with "higher authority"

And you have completely ignored the simple fact that there is nothing, repeat nothing in any rules that say you have to do it by yourself. The rules state that you cannot maintain more than one account. They do not say now, nor ever have that you cannot ask, threaten, pay, bribe or force other people to open an account and send you stuff. You are within your rights to get several other people to play the game for whatever reason and simply donate, give or send you heaps of stuff every day without wanting, expecting or needing anything [ in game ] in return.
You would be perfectly within your rights to pay people [ in real dollars, in real life, outside the game ] to open an account and supply your cities with goods. If you cared enough about being number one and had the money why on earth can't you do it. Or if you were the boss of a large firm why couldn't you expect several of your employees to open an account and sent you goods in the game without sending them stuff back.
You constantly look at this game though your own eyes without opening them to what is possible in life and also what is legal in this game. If I had several million I would probably pay people $10-$20 [ real money ] a week to send me a few hundred goods a day or whatever I needed. I see nothing wrong with someone doing this at all. Or maybe its someone suffering with cancer and bed ridden who has found this game, enjoyed it and a lot of his/her friends/family are more than happy to open an account and send them as much as they can to help make their last days more enjoyable.
Screw everyone else. It is always all about YOU with you.
The last part is the most amazing. You would want someone on their deathbed to die a cheater, robbed of thier last ounce of pride, cuz you "think" it would make them happy. Man-o-man...

Is death a "real" threat in this game? I mean, if someone hoards tons of goods, and do that long enough, will he/she risk someday simply dropping dead (from old age), without getting immortal, simply because he didenīt press the button in time?

Since the oldest among us is only about 35 game years old I don't think its a problem yet. But yeah maybe if a time limit of age 100 was in place, that would be over a year of playing one account. But then some people may like to play slowly for longer than that. Who knows ?

It's a combo for both. It's both a classical definition of a small red arachnid commonly found in trees that finds human flesh tasty..and a racial reference to the folks most commonly found hanging from those trees in the darker times of human history.

Sabah name is AmonRa and I am currently at #7. I expect to drop a few ranks at the next update because I have just set going a L22 palace upgrade. The last time I did that I dropped to #13.

I'm still getting quite a lot of variance in my rankings by as much as 6 places, I was up to 17 and down to 23 today so there is still a lot of variability up there.
Funnily enough in Theoris, I've suddenly zoomed nearly 200 places as I was heading for 600 and now it's just under 400...

Cedar was the 2nd requirement I fulfilled and I don't even produce the stuff. Sculptures was the first and I don't produce that either. Don't know why everyone has trouble finding cedar.

It has been done for me today. I left Sabah in the bighuge tomb today. i wish everyone who is still playing there that he may achieve the same. It has been a lot of fun and goodbye to all people which i haven't scrolled ingame and are not in Theoris.

It has been done for me today. I left Sabah in the bighuge tomb today. i wish everyone who is still playing there that he may achieve the same. It has been a lot of fun and goodbye to all people which i haven't scrolled ingame and are not in Theoris.

Well I was born just a few weeks after you, so maybe my goal of immortality by August 26th is doable. I would be very angry if I went to Denmark for 10 days and came home short my monument. Not to mention I'd be worried about it the entire time I'm gone!!! Seing as I have gotten this far without my boyfriend knowing I'm playing, lol, I can't rightly check in using his laptop while we're gone either!
