Hello there Mattjk83. We are mainly speculating and checking what will be in the game from the screenshots, interviews, and Egyptian history. You will see that the majority of the threads are just suggestions. The other half are probably comments. :p

Lastly, the wallpaper (http://www.immortalcities.com/cotn/downloads/wallpaper.php) come with a calendar that shows when new material is going to be released.
