First and foremost: first post ever. Secondly, and with relation to the thread, apologies WELL in advance if this has been brought up before.
I have a city - my capital - in 130N, Nu'u. My second city is, stupidly, at 99S, Amen-Ra. The travel time distance is roughly the 24 hours, not taking into account monument bonuses (which, now that I have one level 5 monument, reduces travel time to approximately 22 hours).
Recently, tonight, in fact, I traded with a player located at 327N, ships heading for Nu'u (130N). The travel time is approximately 7 to 8 hours.

Unless my mathematics are incorrent, though I'm confident they're not, the extra thirty "nome places" adds 16 hours travel time? Realistically - and, of course, I am taking into account that this is just a game - does that not sound strange to you? Even if it's "just a game", a game that prides itself on - rather fully glorifies the use of - mathematics, then seems to get this so wrong, seems a little odd.
I realise this seems like I'm totally bashing the game. I don't intend that - I love Nile Online. This is EASILY one of the most addictive games I've ever played, and I love it, so, so much. The community is fantastic, espescially. I'm just simply not only expressing my frustration, admittedly, but also questioning it, pleading for an answer.
Thank you in advance!
*EDITED* Thanks to the reply by Oziriz, I edited my calculations. And, as Oziriz stated, thirty nomes shouldn't add that much!
