If only you could have 5 cities. you guys might call me crazy and make fun of me. but... as i said. IF you could have 5 or more cities, you could make everything..... i mean it. lux, army material, bronze, leather, cedar, ems, ................................ but.... they don't. they let us trade! which is even more fun!!!! :D

I make everything with only one city with 'my bread into luxury goods transmogriphying building' (tm) ;)

I am making everything except baskets and pots, I can get more than I need at below cost, so even if I had the shops, it is cheaper to buy them.

Why do you need to make everything? You still have to trade for the raw goods. I have found it just as easy to trade my finished goods for the finished goods I need as it is to get the raw goods.

I find it much easier to reade the raws, and I can often get them from the market at below cost.

Exactly! Besides, I believe multiples of buildings in the same city costs a player rank. To clarify, it is the missing buildings in each city that costs a player rank. Rank is also lowered by the lowest leveled building in each city. Basically, for rank, a player needs to have every building type in every city & upgrade them. This means peaceful players need to build barracks & upgrade them, even if they never use them.

...dat's mah story & I'm stilcking to it...

I have one lux shop in each city, two if it is a henna city only & that replaces either a pottery or a basket shop.

Now OCCers are not playing for rank, so it doesn't matter for them.

Yup, they're playing for a different kind of challenge. ;)
