Such is a typical day in shooting “Mosby Combat Operations in Fairfax County,” a new documentary highlighting Civil War skirmish sites within the area.
[Snip]
A video game featuring the commander, “Mosby’s Confederacy,” was released last year by Tilted Mill Entertainment.
“Mosby drew much of his fighting force from local towns willing to contribute to the fight,” Matt Zimmitti, the game’s lead designer, says on the game’s Web site. “Because of the partisan nature of Mosby’s operations, each soldier mattered, not just as a number with a rifle but as an individual with strengths and weaknesses. Mosby was often outnumbered, often outgunned. What he had on his side was the element of surprise, a keen understanding of the terrain and individuals that mattered in the moment. Simply put, Mosby knew how to be at the right place at the right time, and with just the right forces.”
Enjoy! :)
By the way, Mosby's now plays GREAT on my new Vista Gaming SuperComputer. Hoot!
