Amara

Play features:
- Plenty of flat building space on a 150 x 150 map (to satisfy the scenario goals, you will pretty much HAVE to build a large city)
- Extensive military campaign, including 3 foes; each with raids and multiple sites to defeat
- Created on CotN version 1.3.0.1; should be playable on Alexandria Enhancement also

Difficulty level:
- Hard (on the Grand Campaign Easy-Moderate-Hard scale). This one plays LONG too
- If you heed the clues and proceed cautiously, it is a long but straightforward play; if, instead, you play aggressively and/or recklessly, you may find yourself with more of a challenge than you'd like!

Scenario Goals:
- 400 (or more) Prestige
- 10 (or more) luxury townhouses
- 3 (or more) mastabas; at least one of each size
- 5 (or more) pyramids; at least one of each size
- 3 (or more) each of greater Sphinx and greater Horus statues
- defeat the Nubians, Libyans and Asians, reaching and occupying their respective outpost cities
- build a cult temple to the god Aten on the world map

Back Story:
Amara (a.k.a. Akhetaten and Amarna) was built from the ground up in c.1350 BC when the heretic pharaoh Akhenaten decided to move the religious center and capital city to an empty desert Nile-side location. The hieroglyphic texts say that the new god, the Aten, drove the pharaoh to build the city, but it was abandoned 20 years later, and the eventual fate of Akhenaten and his wife Nerertiti was unknown...

The above is historically accurate, the part about the orphan son is pure fiction on my part to make the storyline work.

- Many thanks to Tinkerbell and Sakasiru, both for testing an earlier version and for suggestions on improving and eliminating bugs. Suggestions from both have been incorporated into this (hopefully bug free and final) version. Without their help and assistance, I may never have completed this scenario. If you enjoy playing this one, give credit to the two of them; if not, blame me! :)

Hi Texasmine!

Thanks so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed my first two scenario making efforts! I encourage you to post your win screens and any city screen shots from your magnificent cities!

I'm not sure when I'll have another one ready, but I'll post it when I do :)
