I don't THINK I've seen this posted elsewhere here; my apologies if it has been and I just didn't notice!
I'm running Alexandria and playing Son of Ra, and for some reason am unable to conquer the Nubian site of Sesebi.
I can send my forces fine, but they are ALWAYS "unable to beat the enemy". Every time!
Sesebi requires me to have 20 trained spearmen, 20 trained charioteers and 1 Army commander. I currently have 105 spearmen (all armoured, 80 trained, 9 w/khopeshes), 56 archers (all armoured, 36 trained, 0 khopeshes) and 79 charioteers (all armoured, 58 trained, 7 w/khopeshes). I also have 3 army commanders. Morale is High for all my troops. Chance of achieving objective: Certain. Anticipated casualties: Very Low.
Yet, no victory!
Is this a glitch, or am I missing something here?
(PS. Totally unrelated, but, I've been playing for 45 game years, am only on my third Pharaoh, and am building my seventh pyramid... *grin*)

Sounds like a glitch. You should post a save file of your game in this thread using the Manage Attachment button below the reply window. That way we can try your file and see if we get the same results.

OK, here goes!
It's not a perfect city by any means... but I'm quite proud of it, haha!

Howdy, evilbill-agqx!
I just loaded your save, changed nothing & attacked, winning the battle immediately. OK, I did hit the + key to speed up the game to 2.5.
No idea what the problem is you are having. Worked fine for me.

How odd. I usually have mine at 2.5 as well but slowed it down because my laptop drags bad at 2.5, LOL!
Let me try again and see if it works this time! I'm a few years farther ahead now, it's Shemu of 1977 BC, I'm sure Pharaoh Akhdjehuty III is about to snuff it and he needs a glorious victory to immortalise his legacy :P

Good Luck! You have plenty of solders & army commanders to nuke the site.

Well, Akhdjehuty III passed over to the West in Akhet of 1977 BC, his Large Pyramid with all its blocks laid but uncarved by stone carvers.
Thus continues the seemingly unbeatable tradition of my oldest Pharaohs never living past the age of 49! Akhdjehuty III was laid to rest in the second of the two Medium Pyramids built by his glorious predecessor Akhdjehuty II, while his successor ascended to the Horus Throne at the age of 47. He likely has less than three years to reign. :P
Akhdjehuty III's death did, however, coincide with the glorious defeat of Sesebi by the armies of Pharaoh! Sesebi will no longer pose a threat and this magnificent achievement will be forever immortalised upon a Grand Obelisk to be erected near the Large Pyramid.
While the pyramid is now a race against time - the only available monument now being a Small Pyramid, one of two built by Akhdjehuty I who rests in the other one - Akhdjehuty IV intends to use what time he has left to immortalise his predecessor and prepare his own ka for passage West in the Holy Barque of Osiris...
EDIT: Akhdjehuty IV's reign lasted exactly one year. The Large Pyramid was still incomplete on his death, carving bringing it to 80% complete, but he had conquered two Bedouin fortresses and opened trade with three trading posts! Grand Obelisks will be erected by Akhdjehuty V, who ascended the throne in 1976 BC aged 27, to commemorate these victories!
Newest save attached, just to brag ;)
