Hail, my fellow Pharaohs.

I'm in a scenario where some city raiders are coming. I have my City Guard all set with Weapons and Armor. Now I want to set some reserves for later when I go and fight them in their camp.

Every time I change a Weapon maker to Armor, my supply goes down. Do I need to set the reserve THEN change his task? I think even when I do that, the reserves shrink as well.

Any idea would be great!

Thanks, MK

Simply put, how do I accomplish setting aside war items for future soldiers?

I always use seperate weapons/armour/charriot makers. This way I don't lose any stock if I change production.

Right. I was just hoping the reserve was actually a reserve. Thanks!

The reserve function just keeps the set amount of the item from being traded. Example, if you set the reserve on something to 12, any amount greater than that can be traded. I don't usually use the reserve setting much myself. I prefer to just produce more of an item than try to store it up.

Weapons storage is in the weapons maker. Each holds 12. In some later cities you will need multiple weapons makers of each type to store up enough weapons to launch attacks on the global map.

Howdy, mklangelo!

When you change a military equipment maker's job to a different job, the completed goods do not go poof, they just disappear from the Resource Report. If you change the job back, they will reappear.

So, you don't really lose anything. You just can no longer use what is not displayed.

I just finished Paros, and when I changed my military from spearmen to chariots, etc and then checked their personal resources then still had the weapons. I guess they just couldn't use them. That is very handy when one has to keep changing the military.

Yes, barracks work the very same way! However, when you change a solider's job, they lose their training.

Yeah, now that is a bummer
