I recently quarried a large statue for my new cult temple, when my laborers went to haul it back to my city, it arrived at the dock then it simply disappeared! ( Those unscrupulous dockworkers must have sold my statue to Dr. Zahi Hawass! )

Did it make it to the other side?

uh huh, it made it all the from the quarry, down the Nile and to my City dockyard, where it simply disappeared and left 5 little laborers standing their with "large statue" on their minds running in place!

Hmm... Did the overseer make it to the other side? Maybe they didn't know where to take it after it was (invisibly) loaded onto the barge?

I think it must be the "Daughter of Isis" map, I never have been able to dedicate my cult temple :p

Well, short of the devs suggesting a workaround, good luck! :)

Is there a trade route open that is buying large statues from you?
If there is you can reserve a number for your city use from the resource menu of the game. (It's sort of like the old "trade over" setting of the old games.)
Click on the "large statues" on the resource menu. The panel to the left will change to show info about large statues. Use the up down arrows on that panel to reserve 5 (it only works in increments of 5). This will prevent any trader from taking large statues unless you have more than 5 on hand.
There was another report where obelisks (I believe) were being taken to the landing but disappearing inside the landing and not coming out again. You may want to watch closely as any new large statues are moved to a landing and see if that is happening.

oh my, you know you're right actually it did "go under the dock", I even later deleted the dock to see if it was under there, though when I did, it supposedly was still there but was no longer visible, however it left my laborers standing around confused!
perhaps that just needs to be fixed?
also, I've had many people that were on the opposite side of the nile attempting to go to a festival and there must have been 15 of them on a rocky cliff walking in place trying to put their boats in the water! :p

Definitely a bug or two. If those stuck people don't un-stick themselves eventually, you can delete their house and replace it to free those people.

oh, hmm I have located my statue, opps! somehow it ended up in my drop site for basalt statues I was importing (small statues) from another city and had a reserve on them! Though, now I have a new problem! I removed the reserve for basalt statues and sent my overseerer back to the cult temple to dedicate it, my laborers aren't moving at all! :(

Do you have a stone carver?

uh huh 3 of them! this just isn't working at all
here are pictures, the large statue made it ashore it seems and now that it is gone, the shadow of a ship remains where it supposedly should be. There's no ship and the shadow is over the land behind the dock. I have an overseerer at the cult temple, several laborers doing nothing, no reserves on basalt and 1 large statue in inventory, the statue never made it to the temple so the stone carvers can't build anything with it. :(

PriestessofAmun: Hi again! Be sure to save your game several times as you go along, e.g. focused on the ship shadow etc.
I think these will be of use to TM if they aren't already working to duplicate the issues to resolve them. :)
I like how you're being patient with it all!

One last question, do you have 4 laborers that are not doing something else available to pull the statue? In the one picture, which rather dark, it appears that there may only be two. I can't see them clearly enough to tell.

hehe, I think I shall have write this off as the Nile in flood season when the ship arrived with my statue and perhaps the tide went out as it was being unloaded? I looked more closely at the little sledge and it appears to be buried under the mud! perhaps the ship aswell :p I now have lots and lots and lots of large statues but noone will work on my cult temple, perhaps they believed the job had been completed and have since forgotten about it.
Oh wells this is a very wonderful game! I'm sure such things will be fixed as soon as possible, but for those very nice people who spent all this time creating it, I think they deserve a nice long vacation in the Bahamas! :)
Thank you everyone! <- time to try a new scenario!
