My scribe is always complaining that he can't attend a feast. But actually I have placed his home next to the nobles. Why don't he attend feasts held by nobles?
Secondly, my entertainer located inside the townhouse region said that they didn't have enouh food and waves. Entertainers gain food to eat and buy waves by working, isn't it? But I saw them sitting in their homes and do nothing. Later on they become unsatisfied and protesting in front of my palace. In order to comfort him, I held a holiday for everyone. But when everone is celebrating their holidays, I saw the entertainer is entertaining a noble and soon get enough food. But after a year, the problem rose again.
How can I solve this problems? Thank you.

Is the scribe busy doing something else such as shopping/going to the temple/getting cured? Do you have servants as they can help share the burden, leaving him more leisure time?
Do the nobles have food to pay the entertainers?

The scribe's home is located near the nobles and there are some servents nearby. It seems that no servant is serving him but he has a wife and a child. And I want to ask that how many noble families can a servant support?
Of course the nobles have lots of food. I think the entertainers can't get food because they are not working (or may be the nobles don't employ them).

I don't believe in using servants unless my luxury shops need help. After all the person buying still has to go to each shop to barter, servant in tow. It doesn't free up anything.
In fact I have found my nobles better off without them as they have more bread to spend on items themselves. But that's just my observations and game style. :)

I have found building 2 or 3 entertainers best. One cannot handle the load it appears and sometimes there are periods the (lone) entertainer goes without being hired. As soon as I get a second in they both get working, get paid and shop then are happy.

You should have at least two scribes dedicated to collecting taxes, imho. This will leave them time to attend feasts, go shopping, etc.

FieryDove: There was one "convincer" posted in another thread... the player actually saw a servant helping carry extra bread for the noblewife so she could buy more stuff on one trip, take it back, and keep the noblehouse happy.
Now that's a detail I'd only get by watchin' in detail... if I had the patience... thank gawd for fellow posters! :p

I have also seen my nobles carry enough to buy 4 or 5 items at once so...hehe

My first experience with the dynamic supply/demand system was with the entertainers. I placed an entertainer down in a city where the nobles had no entertainment demands (maybe I placed him too early). Sure enough, since no one wanted entertainment, he never worked, never got paid, and never had any dough. Soon enough he protested and left, and my city was none the worse for it.
Experiences like this are why I like the game so much!

In fact I have two entertainers and three scribes in my city. But I don't know why my entertainers can't get enough food to eat and to buy waves, and my scribe cannot attent a feast.

Make sure nobles are making enough money, so that they can pay the entertainers to entertain them. How many nobles do you possess?

Your scribes cannot attend feasts because your nobles aren't throwing them for one reason or another. This makes scribes unhappy and they may tend to leave their homes. Without scribes collection of taxes will be less than it should be making the situation worse. If the nobles aren't happy it leads to trouble. Maker sure they have what they need.
Make sure you have a gardner. These allow the nobles to grow grapes to make wine from. This may be influencing whether or not your nobles are willing to throw a feast.
With six noble townhouses, I would say that two entertainer houses would be enough.
Make sure you have a granary built to store as much food as possible. If the scribe houses are empty due to disastisfaction levels it may take a while before a new scribe will take up residence.
How many scribes do you have for those 40 farms?
You should always have at least a small handful of servants to help the nobles shop and to help the luxury shop keepers gather the raw materials that they need so that they don't have to leave their shops to gather the materials themselves. This allows them to stay in the shops producing goods.

I have a gardener and my nobles seems to be very happy and have no problem.
Two of my three scribes is collecting taxes and the other one is doing everything(I have seen him collecting taxes).
I have four granaries which are full and I am worrying how many more granaries I am going to build in order to hold all the food.
I have three servants near my 6 luxury townhouses. How many families can a servant family support?
