I got a few questions
I like to do the campaign from first to last without picking random lvls, so im on easy campaign (the very first one)
1. I need 60 prestige! I had 4 it said, but how do I get that much? I have tombs, cant build pyramids cause their isnt any of those minerals around, how do I raise it?
2. I failed to provide tombs for my pharaoh, and my first pharaoh I still dropped in prestige, how do I get a pyramid in first lvl? I scanned the map and didnt see any limestone, maybe I missed it
last question
3. I built priests house, but no one can go in, because it says (forgot exact words) that my prestige as made it so he cant go, why is this? It takes awhile for a tomb to be built, and even then my prestige drops, so...my hospitols and shrines are left with no priests and no one can worship. Im gettin protesters too

Vendayn: Short answer is be sure you have a strong city making lots of food and bricks before accumulating prestige. Don't worry about the earliest pharaohdeaths... starting prestige is 0 so deaths won't hurt you.
See this thread for prestige game tips:

See this thread for early game tips (lots of food and bricks):

Hope these help! ;)

Vendayn: We may be talking about different things here about "4". When you start a game you have 0 prestige but you are allowed 4 elite. Is that the "4" you're talking about?

Vendayn: Prestige 3 is not enough for another elite. Need about 10. See attached screenshot for how to see many elites may have.
The threads I gave you have excellent getting-started tips. But if that's not your preferred style, just keep asking questions and we'll be glad to help :)

got another question
I have 33 villagers willing to work, how do I get more? Can I build villager huts so more villagers can work? Or does it go up over time?

Vendayn: Glad the threads help! There's a rumor some will put it all together in a strategy guide but for now have to scan and read.
Re your villagers: can't control them so just build with what you've got and more will move in.
Rule of thumb: Try to leave about 10 villagers or so at all times. There's a rumor they make more villagers if they have enough. If you get down to 5 villagers or less, blow up some farms or something.
I suspect that in some, harder scenarios, there's a villager cap. But there's always a way to play the scenario... e.g., trade for food vs. grow more food, assess tariffs for food etc.

Villagers can be a problem: either you have to wait or you exaust them. In Pi-Ramesse, even if I waited quite a long time I had difficulties to have population grow. The good new is that soldiers do not affect your villagers population. To increase population I tried to destroy five barracks. After that I got two more farmers but I cannot say if they are soldiers or grown up farmer children.
Anyway I have finished the hard grand campaign!

I think I exhausted mine :P For some reason, my farmers keep leaving...so the villagers go to the farm houses, so I have 1 villager left and only 33 farms...maybe I shoul only have 20 farms?
it sure takes awhile to get villagers so

I am importing large basalt statues, and I was told I need a large landing for them. all I have is the standard barge landing, and I have 3. but I have 2 ships waiting in the water to unload, with 3 empty landings. what gives?

After some time children from the city go to new buildings and make their family, but it is a slow proceeding.

I think im gonna start over and go slower, with like 10 farms in beggining, 2-3 noble houses and two sets of common shops and one set of luxary shops, and of course..a palace
plus, people riot all the time now :( I dont have enough shrines/temples..I went to fast ..
is that a good idea?
btw I did read the guides, but they didn't really work for me

There is only one size barge landing. Do you have a cargo drop off point placed anywhere?

Well, if all else fails you could always try:

1. you can raise prestige by:
right click on your palace to enhance it.
build any tomb/monument
look at the world map. Completing some mission goals and/or opening
certain trade routes will grant prestige (there's a box at the top of the window that tells you how much prestige it will give)
military victories
2. If you can't quarry the stones yourself then you have to import them (limestone and fine limestone are needed for pyramids). Be careful though because importing stones is very costly in terms of bread, so you need a thriving city with surplus food in granaries before you can afford to open those trade routes.

Vendayn: The first time I started over, and mentioned it in these forums, my good buddies said, "what, that's only the FIRST?!" I think you're on to something ;) .
