Even though their graphics are out dated, gameplay, etcetera?

I think they still are worth buying. They are very different from CotN, gameplay-wise and graphics-wise but Pharaoh and Cleo are still excellent games.

All I have to say is one word...YES!
Pharoah/cleo is very diffrent to CotN but the basics are the same it is a city builder and you will just love it.
hmmm that was more than one word it was more like 20 something......
oh and notice the quote is....LOL...it is "down under"

Of course, YES. To me, Pharaoh + Cleopatra is one of the best games ever made.

Definitely. I'm still playing mine (yes, right now, while I'm waiting for CotN).

I think so, ive played them for more than a year. Its one of those you never get finnished. You might leave it on the shelf for a while but you allways get back to it.

Yes....Caesar 3, Pharao, Zeus and Emperor will remain for YEARS among the best games released. Children of the Nile is very different which is also good as the older games of Impressions will remain at the top of their kind.

Yes, they are between my favorite games and their replayability is almost infinite.

I still play them. In fact, if I ever get more than 10 seconds of free time, I've got the beginnings of a combined Pharaoh/CotN website planned.

As everyone else here has said, yes of course they are worth buying. On my part, when I get stuck in CotN or just don't feel like playing it (I was a beta tester and got the game right when it came out so I am beginning to become burnt out on it!!!) I go back to Pharaoh or Emperor. The other day I actually loaded up Zeus cause I felt like seeing the animations!!! I've also just bought several other newer games that I've been giving a whirl. But no matter what I still get that craving to go back to Pharaoh/Cleo. I will be inconsolable when technology reaches the point where all my favorite Imps CBs are so outdated they are rendered unplayable. :D :D :D

Definitely a 'yes'.
I still play them, always trying to find a better way to build my cities and to statisfy 'my' people. :D

Yes Yes! They are still completely absorbing City Builder games. And the soundtrack/wav files for the game should have won an award. "Rain.wav" and "Isis.wav" are incredibly well done compositions.
Try Amazon.com I saw where you could get both of them for around $20 total. Pharaoh was only around $6. Shipping extra.
See Pharaoh Heaven Website (http://pharaoh.heavengames.com/)
Excellent Pharaoh/Cleopatra resource. :)

Undoubtedly. Though CotN and Pharaoh are in the same genre, have the same subject matter, and the same designers, all similarities stop there. Both are different and wonderful.

Despite it's age, Pharaoh and Cleopatra are classics. Well worth it.
You may be able to find them individually as noted above, but you can also find them much more easily by looking for one of the recent combination packages "Great Empires Collection 2" or "The Biggest Creators of Empires". GEC2 has Caesar III, Pharaoh, Cleopatra, Zeus, and Poseidon. BCE has all of those plus Emperor.
You can probably find them in places like Amazon, Wal-Mart, Electronic Boutique, or even at the VU Games Store page.

I definitely think they are still worth buying. There is very little "the same" between these games besides the core concept of building a city. There are different workers, different ways to strategize to play, as I had to completely change my thinking to play CotN to begin with. I still have mine installed, though I admit to not playing it in the last couple of months.
I also plan to get my hands on Emperor and Lords of the Realm, some Impressions titles I don't have.

What is Lords of the Realm? It's a citybuilder too?

No, Lords III is a medieval strategy wargame.
