I was reading what has been resolved in the 1.1 patch but I want to know is it really that noticeable even if I don't update to 1.1?

The best thing to do is always keep your PC up-to-date.
Not only this game but also your Windows, Office, Virusscanner, etc...

The less bugs (and security holes) the better...

The patch is small (~6MB) and it solves a number of problems. I'd suggest getting it. Also, if you do patch later, some of your save games from before the patch may not work (very few, but it could be frustrating.) I'd say it's worth the download.

(then again, maybe I'm a little biased...)
