Red Baboon Mercenaries?????????????

Hi, fellow Pharaohs!

I'm on the Itjtawy mission, and I can't get the Red Baboon Mercenaries to show up! What the heck do you have to do to get those guys to make an appearance on the World Map?

Bribe the Libyan raiders -- both sets -- a few times and they'll show. That means you have to open trade with the cities that let you trade for turquoise and gold.

You might want to try looking at that scenario in the editor to check.

After I explored the red sea and found the tin trading town in the south east I believe they showed up.

I never bribed the raiders, so that's not (the only?) trigger. ;)

When I played this scenario they showed up right after the second set of raiders appeared. Check attached screenshot.

There may be multiple different triggers to get the Red Baboons to show up. They showed up and I hadn't opened up the tin trade; in fact I didn't do that until I realized I needed it to make the Baboons happy. All I had done worldwise was bribe the raiders a couple times.
