:eek: :eek:Dear follow gamers:

After playing this game for 16 hours I found it very addictive. However, my food problem is making me angery and feel stupid. I need help for this game.

I have enought food - 2000 indicated by the resources report and my workers only eat 500. However, some educated works are still not getting enough food to get. I verified by how much are there at their homes. 0. At moment need a big help because I don't what I am doing wrong.

thanks : :eek:

Educated Elite need bakeries as well to get their food. If you have many bakeries, your harvest will be spread between all those bakeries and as a result, each bakery will have little bread. Then, if some of the Educated Elite are going out to get bread, the bakery might already be out of supplies. Or the bakery might be too far away, that's another option.

Also note that your workers only need 500 food, but are very likely to take somewhat more.

Build another granary closer to their homes. If they have to walk o lets say 60 squares to go to a bakery they won't go. Common shops are Somewhat like this too.

Just a FYI, granaries are only used to store surplusses. No one can get food from a granary, except for bakeries. If a bakery runs low on raw food and if a granary still has some, some food will be sent from the granary to the bakery. :)

As Emperor Jay indicated the placement of your bakeries may be the problem. Generally speaking you need to have a bakery and a papyrus maker close to your educated elite housing so that they don't have to walk far to get these two items.

Not only (as Dog of the Sun said) if its too far away they won't go but even if its close enough for them to go there other folks may beat them to the punch ... errr.. the bread I mean.

Early on in my playing I noticed my poor Priests would walk out of their house get halfway to the bakery and turn around again and again because the bakery ran out of food before they got there ...... my Priests were NOT happy campers over this and therefore spent their time protesting rather than doing their jobs, which of course made other people unhappy.

It creates a rather nasty snowball effect

Speaking of, does anybody know WHEN or HOW OFTEN this occurs? If it's instantaneous, all bakeries should always have the max food distributed to them. However, I'll find bakeries that have NOTHING and bakeries that have 23 / 399 food created.

One way to find out if you have enough food or enough bakeries;

Watch the number on the left - if it goes up then goes down, say from 43/499 to 10/499, then the bakery is having trouble keeping up with demand. Build another bakery.

If the number stays relatively the same (low), say at 25/299, then you don't have enough food or too many bakeries.

Just my observation.

Edited to add:
You might want to watch the count to find out exactly how much gets sent to bakeries after the harvest and after everyone gets their 'share' from the threshing area. If it's still low - you might want to add more farmers.
