Crashing back to desktop

I can play tutorials (a bit boggy, but they work) but I crash back to desktop whenver selecting scenario, campaign, or snapshot. I have a nVidia GE2 video card, so that should be sufficient, right? I am running under ME on a Dell Dimension 8100 with 1.8 GHz Pentium IV. I've also tried to stop all unneeded processes running in background with no improvement. I am going to try to attach my DXDIAG.txt file here. Any thoughts? Otherwise, this product has no value to me and I will no option other than to feed it to the dogs, and I will consider myself wiser but poorer.

Update your NVidia drivers to the 53.04 ones found here (http://www.nvidia.com/object/win9x_53.04.html).

I am having the exact same problem. I have windows XP and cannot play anything but the tutorial. However that link doesn't mention win xp. Could you help me out? Thanks so much!

I believe they recommand 61.77 for XP users. 53.04 is for Win98 users.
