I got here my first map. I think this map is quite nice with vast resources. Very easy to play.it was a 200-200 area map.
please comment on the map.

Thank you for such a wild and filled map. The amount of traders........................................... ....................more than the amount of dots here! Must be 250 streamin in to my town square, Even before I can start building, 120 messages tell me I missed cargo, as soon as I start!!! PS Logoon is cool, I m making a spongebob picture story for posting on the story thingy :) My Kid tricked me into it, looks good so far.

Interesting scenario, woopypooky.
The five-way ridgeline that looks like Southeast-Asia is very nice.

For some reason your scenario bombs in my game, woopypooky. I tried it both in play mode and in editor and both times the game crashed to desktop. Anybody else have trouble or just me?
Would love to check it out.

well, if u guys think it had too much traders, then just modify the world level editor, either delete the existing cities or minimizing the amount of goods traded.
anyway, i made this map before i found this forum....i remember at that time i tried to do an island but somehow always get a river creating error so i finally ended up making a peninsula.
so it goes on that i downloaded a few of the maps from here and then decided to post my own here to share.since i was too lazy to modify it back to suits the general needs and i thought maybe there is someone outthere who gotta same taste as mine who will enjoy the map very much .
there only thing it bothers me is after i got 10 nobels and unwards my game started to lag and very annoying but still playable ;;do anyone experieced the same prob? i got a raedeon 9600xt hardcore 128mb,512DDR ram, and 2.1GHz cpu.
anyone are free to modify or refine my map and perhaps share it here?

Firstly, I have to say that this map is absolutely beautiful... just brilliant. It's one of the best maps I've seen so far.
However, I hated this scenario.
Only 1 minute into the game and there was a message popping up whining that because I did't have any barge landings, I had missed a delivery. I thought... 'what the?' How can I miss a delivery when I haven't even started trading with anyone? Looked at the World Level map and saw that *every* town and trader was already open!!
What was the point of this? Why on earth would you make a scenario that had everything already open?
Secondly, I resented having to keep closing the 20 or so 'missed delivery' messages that popped up every minute. It was sooooo irritating!
Thirdly, there were no bricks or food for starting the game when placing hte palace.... *nothing*.
Fourth, although I hate to say it and I'm going to come across as extremely rude... this scenario was pointless.... simply because there were no goals to attain.
Finally, once again, I do have to stress that I adore this map so in the future, I'll be fiddling around with teh scenario in order to make it playable.

Welcome to our family, Tjgoldstein! :)
lolol ~ Woopypooky's sandbox scenario has been one I was meaning to play, especially from all the comments. Yours make it even more so! :D
Now, I just need the time!

that is if the Imperator Pontifex Maximus Caesar is feeling generous enough to release mark and allow him to roam free for a bit;)

It seems that this scenario got corrupted when saved. Because it kept crashing within first 5 minute.

Really, Jacquou Le? Others appear to have played it. Downloading now for a look-see. BRB! :)

No Worries, Mate! :)
Woopypooky's Scenario loads with no Scenario Info Screen. This means you cannot set the difficulty. Whatever your game is set on is how it will load & play. You cannot change it afterwards. I would suggest players change their settings by using any other game scenario, start it, set the difficulty, load it & then quit. After this, you will be able to load Sharm, the peninsula city & play it at whatever difficulty you wish. My game is set on Hard & this is how it loaded & played.
After the Scenario starts, you can hit the in-game Scenario Info button & you will find it is totally blank (Overview & Tips). Apparently this is a sandbox scenario with no goals, but we can't tell.
The World Map begins with everything open. There are sites with no information & probably do nothing. The rest have no upkeep but send insanely large amounts of all types of stuff, including both Limestones for free.
The Game begins with 300 villagers, but apparently that jumps to about 485 quickly.
Next you get a zillion donkey caravans, cuz the amounts they each carry is only like 100 & they are bringing thousands. You also get a zillion "No Barge Landing" messages immediately. The Message Log fills up & eventually you cannot get rid of the popups, cuz there are sooo many to click on. What this appears to cause, is that you can no longer click on the Private Homes Build Button. What I did was to immediately go to the World Map & Suspend EVERYTHING. Then I clicked to close all the No Landing popups until they went away. The Scenario is now under control & the Private Homes Build button works again. Unsuspend at your leisure whichever sites you need.
Apparently there is no prestige available from the World Map & this is my worst nightmare on Hard. However, you get LOTS of Bricks & Small Basalt Statue Blanks for Free by land. You need to immediately place a Central Default DOP to get these. You only need one.
Next you need to keep Distance Brickbuilding in mind. The floodplains are too wide to place Landings & you must use the sandy beach area way to the Northwest. I did not place my city there. I placed it on the eastern side of the Island. Build roads over mountains & hills to help with pathing. As soon as you get some Landings built (I built four to start), the Scenario is under your control. You can begin to receive Limestone for Pyramid Prestige.
I saved, loaded save, played, saved & reloaded save several times with no problems at all.
Attached images are first of the initial invasion of donkeys (Quite a HOOT!) & No Landings popups. Second is where I stopped to make this post. Scenario looks like fun to me! Love the starfish mountain. Love the map totally. :)

Is there any Clay Deposit in this map? Has anyone seen it?
I don't see Pottery Shops have Clay in their inventories...

Nope. Apparently not, Jacquou Le!
I just tested the entire map, including the islands to the West.
Causes a bit of grief with Pottery & Sculpture shops along with brickmakers. ;)
No biggie, just makes more of a challenge. What's a few angry people protesting, moving out & becoming vagrants? Perhaps you might wanna consider deleting them. :D
Nobles still evolve, just a bit slower. You import bricks for free! Doable, I assure you! ;)
