Demo keeps crashing

It's my first time here so I don't know if other people already had this problem. I downloaded the Demo, but wen I'm installing it. It crashes and I can't do anything on my PC anymore. I have to unplug it and then start the computer again. Does anyone know what the problem is.I really want to play the demo, because I can't find the game here in the shops ( I'm from Holland ).

PS: If my English is not so good. Sorry, I'm better at Dutch :D

The game will be out in Europe soon.

As for the demo, it sounds as if you may have got a bad download. I suggest you uninstall it and delete all the files that are left, defrag your computer, then download it again.

Hope you understand that - if not, I'll grab one of the Dutch people to translate.

I already downloaded several demo's of the game from different sites. But I thought that the demo from this site was good, but that one doesn't work either. They are all the same. I'll defrag my computer and try it again.Thank you.

Also, make sure you clean out the C:\Windows\Temp folder. This is usually used by installer programs to copy files over from the CD and if that is full or cluttered it can cause install problems.

It's still not working. I click on the demo, it is starting to extract the folders, and suddenly it stops and I can't get it to work again. Now I'm afraid that I can't even play the real game. I really want to buy it when it comes out in Holland, but if I can't even play the demo how can I play the real game. :( I don't understand. I play all sorts of games and demo's and this one, the one that I have been waiting for doesn't work. It's not fair

Make sure you have your virus protection etc. off when you download the demo, not just when you install it. Sometimes that can corrupt things.

Maybe you could also post your DxDiag file here so that we can see what your computer specs are.

Ja, het zou gemakkelijk zijn als je je 'dxdiag' zou posten. Ga maar eens kijken in de 'sticky readme' bovenaan de technical support pagina voor instructies ;) . Dat zou ons veel verder kunnen helpen :D . (Ik ben Belg, als dat gemakkelijker zou zijn voor je :cool: )

Ik heb gehoord dat het spel vandaag uitkomt. Ik wacht anders gewoon tot het spel te krijgen is bij mij in de buurt. Ik heb nu al zoveel geprobeerd met die demo, dat ik echt genoeg heb van dat ding :D .

In English :D I'm going to wait for the real game cos I heard that it's coming out today. I had enough of the demo. I tryed a lot of things but it simply doesn't work. It's better for me to stop trying before I really get :mad: :D

Natuurlijk is het logisch dat, wanneer je het volledige spel koopt, je misschien dezelfde problemen krijgt. De demo is maar een miniem deel van het spel, en als je daar al problemen mee hebt, zou het kunnen dat je dat met het volledige spel ook hebt. In ieder geval: CotN moet je gewoon hebben, en als je problemen hebt, kom je gewoon terug naar de forums ;) . Veel plezier :D .

Natuurlijk ga ik wel eerst even informeren hoe het zit en of ik hem daadwerkelijk wel kan spelen. En ik kom zeker terug als er problemen zijn.


In English: When I'm going to buy it I'm going to get lots of information about the game so that I am sure that I can really play it. And I will come back here if I'm having problems again.
