Ok all - here is another scenario for you.
This is the second map of a campaign, I am working on its
The Valley of Tjemhu - (sequel to Bakatah)
Since I am not one to dwell on pretty map making and tend to like shorter games with goals, this takes me about 6 hours at a 4.5 speed.

it is a 125x125 map
I rate this difficulty as moderate (except for avid players)
It revolves around an elaborate irrigation system that pharaoh has planned

I have tested it and found no trigger errors, I hope you enjoy

It has a full-screen auto-install program
just click open on the Tjemhu_install.zip it should download and then click the Tjemhu_install.exe file

In your Scenario screen Tjemhu should show as an option

Downloaded and looking forward to playing! Thanks. :)

Could you explain how this is possible, as I can only play at a maximum 2.5 speed in my game. Thanks in advance. :)

You have you modify one of your game files. I haven't done this but saw it in another thread. I'm sure somebody here can tell you how to do it. Apparently you can go up to 3.5 without problems but over that you start getting errors.

In my experience there are problems with food over 3.50, so I use 5.00 in bad flow years, when it does not make any difference.

I have seen some people modify the CoTN.ini upto as high as 1000, which is speed 10. YIKES, scares me.

I used 4.5 for testing, to get through quickly. After playing it at least 20-30 times, gets a litte tiring after a bit. But, I like this scenario, much better than my first (Bakatah).

This was an interesting one. I guess my "minimalist" tendencies hurt me this time, I had 13 Nobles and something like 115 farms. By the time I got my prestige over 200, I had pretty much completed everything else. I was at around 245 when Ramuhotep I died, plunging me down to about 210. I was back up to 235 or so when Ramuhotep II died. I plunked down a bunch of smaller pyramids to try and keep my head above water and finally reached exactly 250. I was kinda disappointed, since my Medium Pyramid was at 98% completed.

The same thing happened to me. Was rough. So close then opps, pharoah dies and ya get a hit of -50+ due to death of pharoah. Took me two small pyramids during one life time just to get to 300.

O.K.

I confess, I've played it twice now. Fun 'cause each time I get to about 240 prestige and blam-O, pharaoh dies and prestige slips away. And because prestige was that high my death hit was almost -50. So, I trudged along building statues and pyramids, and again as I reached 230, wham-O. Another pharaoh death. Another -50. Ugh. But now I could rest assured that my medium pyramid was finishing up any year now! And as it did, wa-la. WIN SCREEN.

So, I like it. Takes you to an edge of almost a win, but in game years, it's almost the end for pharaoh. A nail biter.

Here's my story set of Tjemhu redux

Thanks Karter, yet another brilliant scenario. Keep em coming! When I finally pass to Osiris and they get out the big book of life they're gonna say, 'well she didn't do much, just spent her life playing COTN' They'll probably put me in charge of building in the afterlife. :D

Thanks maucat,

WOW look at all of those pyramids

I saw that you finished Bakatah the original scenario....next is
Rhakotis

and I just did the last scenario of the Campaign...

Nazlat al Fallahin
now I will put them all together into one Campaign package :)

Well Karter, I have finally decided to dive into the world of User-Created Scenarios & you are my first victim! ;) The Karter Trifecta

Your first city of Bakatah was pretty simple, except there was no prestige available. Since I don't like building pyramids, nor statues, I hated it (just kidding)! I went with statues, cuz I really hate pyramids.

Now as for Tjemhu. I hated it even more (Hate is good!). Still no prestige up for grabs. More statues. I did everything but the 250 prestige. Uh-oh. Slapped down a couple of very small pyramids & that did NOTHING!. I was about 150 in prestige.

OK, let's go with the statue thang with no carvers. Layed about 60 Large Statues & then the carvers. Never tried this before. Also, I refuse to delete buildings & switch workers to something else. My philosophy is "You build 'em, you keep & feed 'em"). Needless to say, I had a few too many! I was SHOCKED at the results. 36 years for the win, but I wasn't hurrying.

I loved the irrigation farming thing. Nice change! :D

And, I never ran outta villagers, so you began with WAAAAAY too many! ;)

I also notice that you appear to dislike Exploits for prestige? Oh well...

On to your most recent scenario #3! Thankx!

WHOOPS! Just noticed that you have FOUR scenarios. Even better! :D

Karter

LOL

each one gets a bit more complex...as my editor skills increased :)
Hopefully, the last two
Rhakotis
Nazlat al Fallahin
will be a greater challenge and a bit different in playing

..and I really dont know how to trigger the exploits portion :(

Sorry, I lied, Karter. I have given you a hiatus & downloaded TombRaider's Kom Ombo.

I don't want the original creators to get jealous & call me a coward. Huge map & it looks like I'll have to build my first laborer camp. Ratz!

I'll get back to your campaign soon! ;)

Hi MarkDuffy,
MarkDuffy
Sorry, I lied, Karter. I have given you a hiatus & downloaded TombRaider's Kom Ombo.
oh sure Lies!!!! all Lies!!!
LOL
Kom Ombo is what I am playing now...with editing I havent gotten to all of the scenarios yet...so now I can

I would like to say..that my last two Rhakotis and Fallahin were influenced in part by some of your earlier posts about scenarios, I believe somewhere within these forums you requested a more formidable opponent, if you play them I hope they meet your expectations :)

Those scenarios are EXACTLY what attracted me to your campaign, but I wanted to play them in order.

Can't wait!

Wow Karter... Nice job!

A major struggle for prestige!!! Build, build, build!

I enjoy your story lines and world level transitions. This one was interesting and very challenging. I laughed at the camel hump joke.

On to the next one.

I just finished this scenario, very nice indeed. I enjoyed it immensely and for an extra reason too. I hope you can see it in my pics. ;) :)

I had some troubles with a noble family and I was wondering were they were. They were stuck in their yacht and I had to delete their home. :(

Tjemhu done. Did I mention that I hate prestige requirements? ;) :p

Below are two snapshots. One is the actual win screen. The second is the way it felt. :D ;)

P.S.: Karter - I don't mean to trash you or your scenario. I actually really liked it. :)

Oh - and here's a screenshot showing my prestige-earning methods.
