If you think you know ancient Egypt, give my Egyptian quiz (http://panzerblitz.proboards9.com/index.cgi?board=Quiz) a shot.

The more you play the better you will do....eventually. ;) :D

I know there isn't a lot of time for each question, but do the best you can.

Fair warning from one whose has tried it. Better know your Egyptology. :D :D

It sure is hard! I use your quiz whenever I'm starting to get a big head, and it brings me right back down to earth. Good quiz, but!

I wanted it to be challenging. So it is a little tough especially with the time limit for each question (which can't be changed.) To keep it from getting too repetitive, I added approximately 120 questions to the data base. Some of the same questions are true false one time and mulitple choice the next, or they are similarly worded so you don't get too familiar with them.

The quiz program also changes which answer is a,b,c,d,e etc. each time it is asked. So the answer that may have been A the first time you see it might actually be B or C, etc. the next time the question gets asked. That way you have to really learn the answer instead of just remembering the letter to press. ;)

The tough ones are the multi-answer questions where you have to get all the right responses to get credit.

The more you play the better you get. I hadn't played it in about 4 or 5 months myself and gave it a shot this afternoon and got a score of 12.

LOL...i got 3......i either ran out of time or for some insane reason kept hitting T or F for true or false instead of A or B....lol don't tell me I know how to follow simple directions :D
thats not to mention that some of the questions are very tricky you do have to know your stuff. like it helps if your an EGYPTOLGIST!

some of my friends at the EEF were flat out getting over 5....well done keithy LOL. you with a score of 12 outdid 2 students and one professor....rofl.
posted the link on a cppl of forums hope you don't mind.

Wow, I thought others would be doing at least as well. ;)

No, I don't mind passing along the link. It's there to have fun with, someone may as well use it.

Tell them that if they want to discuss Egyptology or the game I have sections for both in that area of my board. They just have to backup to the "Children of the Nile" level of forum to see them.

I got all excited when my max score was a 7, but then I got a bunch wrong and wound up with a 5. First time I ever played it (months ago) I got minus something or other...

12??? Well, that sure beat my final score of 2. I would rack up a good score then lose it all to harder questions.

Keith you did an awesome job of creating the quiz, but that sure is sneaky the way you re-word the questions and change the answers. Now I know why it was different each time I played. ;) :D

Man, that game certainly takes you down a peg or two. Great quiz but it is certainly hard. While I couldn't beat ya Keith, I did manage a (pathetic) respectable 7. :D I'm keeping that link. It'll give me something to do when I don't have enough time for a full game of CotN.

:D

I gave it another go last night and I was on a role for a while, got the first 10 right, and got up to 17, but then I messed up on the next 4 and ended up with 13.

Let me know if the questions get too familiar and easy after a while, I can always add more. :D

Keith, I don't there's much danger of that for a while yet :D

Woo hoo! 17! Just call me Osiris! (I played about 6 in a row and got a bunch of repeated questions, though)
Keith, there's NEVER enough time to answer that Imhotep question - choosing 6 answers in 10 seconds plus the reading time, it's killing me!

I'll have to see about adjusting that question. ;)

Good job!
