sorry guys, I know this has been discussed "in the old days" ;) but here I come again with that suggestion.
in any CB, when on "campaign" mode we begin a city, then at a point, change map to another city, design for example to provide wood to the main city, then come back to the main city, open the trade route to get some wood, and then we almost never come back to the wood city. Even then, most of the time, the wood one can buy is either huge from the begining to sustain a big main city (with no relation with the size of the wood city we've built) or the amount available increases from time to time.
I'd like to have the following possibility:
I build a new main city from the beginning. At one point I need wood. Ok : new map new site I create a new secondary city : the wood city. No need to build it huge the main one only requires little wood.
Back to the main city. I can import wood in a limited amount in accordance with the real production of the wood city.
If at one point my requirements exceed the amount avilable then save the main city, open the wood city again, develop it, save and back to the main city with more wood available.
This way, th world map would have more interactions. Besides, one would have totake care of the economy of the main city but also of the world map.
I know things could go seriously complex, but there are ways to make it simpler (for example limit the number of buildings available for the wood city).
What do you think of it?
TM : could it be doable?
