If there is one thing that annoys me in C3, then it must be animals getting stuck in your buildings or walls, when they are in the way, and worst of all, you can't send your army or prefectures out to kill them! You just have to wait till some greeks attack you, and they are lucky enough to take care of them.

I simply want to brutally slaughter those animals, I might sound cruel, but when you constantly have them in your way, I think that is a reason in it self. And worst of all, the wulfs, even though your population count didn't fall, it was annoying to see them wipe out your people, while your prefectures couldn't manage a thing, in reality, wulfs ain't that brutal.

Or even better; no animals?

The 1.1 patch allowed you to kill off the animals with your army if you needed to.

There were a couple of remedies for the wolves. The most popular one, and one I consider a cheat, was to pen them in using aquaducts. Then send a unit of javelins over to wipe them out. As long as you had the entire pack penned up the pack should not re-spawn.

The method I used was to build some towers armed with a ballista between my city and their spawing ground. Sometimes I would add a wall. When the wolves got close enough, the towers would attack them. Every once in a while a wolf might get through and do some damage to the immagrants or my citizens, but usually the wolves began to stay away. In Lugdunum, I kept the wolf pack that spawned on the plateau at bey with a single tower. They eventually just stopped trying to get through and lay on the ground just out of range.

Similar solutions in Pharaoh, Zeus & even Emperor, Keith. I love hostile animals & missed it in COTN.

I used my Emperor: ROTMK troops regularly on "animal patrol" to kill tigers, gobi bears, and salamandars attacking cart pushers and thus interfering with resource flow. Just posted the unit where the animals attack and rotated it with another unit occasionally to keep morale high.

It is just easier to plant a tower nearby their spawning ground attached to a road back to your city and let the archer in the tower deal with them on a automatic an continuous basis.
